I'm going to state this once and for all just to drive the following points through, that I believe most of us already understand.

The McCain campaign is running the most despicable, degenerate, and insulting campaign in United States history.

The McCain campaign is playing on the stupidity of Americans.

There are more I could add to that list but I think these are two we can all agree on. Again, I'm neither demo or repub, this is all based on how the candidates have run their campaigns and the information about them obtained by the media. It pains me to say that from my personal research, giving an estimate, about 82% of the things John McCain claims, whether about his own campaign or the accusations made towards Obama, have been proven to be incorrect, yet he and his running mate repeat these claims over and over and over again as if literally hoping the more they repeat it the more true it will become. Thankfully, I believe the question is no longer whether or not Obama will win, but whether or not his victory becomes a landslide. It's getting to the point where I wholeheartedly believe that the only way John McCain can become president is provided we have another Florida episode this election season.

Speaking of which, where's that hour long video that shows a foreign guy hacking into a diebold machine?

Fixed.

It's no wonder you're on here then, trying to pass off McCain's warmongering as "sound foreign policy".

You're just feathering your nest lol.

Besides, what 's there to worry about?
Your family will never get sent into the line of fire, and it's very unlikely they will ever end up on the business end of a laser guided missile...

600,000 dead in Iraq. Probably more. None of them were soldiers.
That's a lot of blood on your hands.

You want McCain to send more bodies in Iran now? You want more bombs to fall?
Do you honestly think that Iran will try anything with Israel?

Is that it? You're being protective of Israel?
Or are you just spewing shit for the sake of your family, in hopes they can catch a few more scraps as they fall from the fat cats mouth.

National defense lol.

See you in hell.

I actually laughed at the whole "national defense" comment that EvilEvoIX made. Considering the background in which I used to work for, plus the fact that I am a veteran of OIF, I will still say that I couldn't vote for McCain/Palin for this simple issue: How could Sarah Palin state that it's God's plan that we're in currently in Iraq? I'm sure that this may work down in the bible belt and within a majority of Fox News watching conservatives, but come on!

EvilEvoIX, if you want to talk about "National Security" (or any kind of security), let me take you back to Camp Buehring, Kuwait on December 8th 2004. I remember very well as I sat and watched Spc. Thomas Wilson from the 278th Combat Team out of Tennessee as he asked good old Rummy about our lack of up armor vehicles. Rumsfeld replied, "You go to war with the army you have".

As part of the 2,300 strong "dog and pony show" that was held on that day in that hanger, I felt a little pissed that this government has put us through more shit than ever. Personally, I felt that we were about to cross over into Iraq in vehicles that resembled something out of Mad Max. When I got back from the tour, I couldn't continue to stay with the military. Even after I was offered a very comfortable package to go along with a defense contractor, I couldn't stay with them for the sole fact that the soldiers will never have the direct support of this current government. It's all about which contractor can do the same job a soldier does but is allowed to charge up the ass for it.

National defense is a term that is used to defend extensive government spending. Call it what you will, (CECOM, General Dynamics, Tobyhanna Depot, etc) they are all companies that are fueling this war.

We will all pay for the sins of this government.

Colin powell supports Obama and on MSNBC he seems pretty bitter toward the how McCain is slinging the mud and not focusing on the issues...

I personally think that this will sway people to vote for Obama... what be your thoughts?

So desperate to prove oneself are we? That fact that you address taxes as a NON ISSUE is beyond absurd and I just get the feeling you'll say left if I say right. No tact with this one, just angry typing. Calm down, I doubt you conduct yourself like this in the real world, so I wouldn't expect you to do so on an obscure video game site discussing politics.

As for my father, well he runs the show, but you probably knew that already. He's a good man and he works for his Countries defense, you call people "bitch boy". Massive drop off in there.

Get your dad's dick out of your ass, bitch boy. He's a traitor to the country, and your daipers are bought with blood money.

I don't know if it will help...

But Powell certainly did put the whole McCain campaign in perspective.

Make that another Conservative/Republican to be so turned off by the McCain/Palin campaign that they renounce it.

Christopher Buckley
Cathleen Parker
Peggy Noonan
Colin Powell

Who's next? I have a feeling that Charlie Christ is disgusted also.... He even refused to make a big deal out of the whole ACORN thing..

And what about CONDI?

I don't know, maybe I give Powell a little to much credit, but he's got a 80% approval rating.... I think it will sway some of the undecided voters. He stands for a lot, many military people have high respect for him and what he has to say.

They (FL GOP) are making a big deal about Christ not showing up for McCain/Palin rallies as of late...

Yeah, I am starting to like Christ. First he let felons vote, then the non appearances with McSame and now the refusal to make a big deal over the ACORN BS

Of course I used to like McCain (until 4-5 months ago). I also used to have lots of respect for Bob Dole (1993-1996). Pragmatic Republican'ts seem to turn partisan when they reach across the isle.

So with the Florida GOP turning on Christ, How long until they OUT him?

I really like the old McCain as well and would have had no problem voting for him until about 6 months ago as well...

Don't know he is still very popular and plans to wed in December....:smirk:

Didn't you say that your family was a bunch of defense contractors or something? Of course you'd rather have too much government spending, as long as it goes to your own causes rather than, say, poor people.

That's like the Republicans saying "we want samller government", but they really just want bigger government in different places than the Democrats (Office of Homeland Security, overturning Roe V Wade, etc)

BTW, the SR-71 Blackbird is completely badass. That's why the X-Men had one...of course, the comic book one had a cloaking device...the real one doesn't need it!

EVERYBODY wants National Defense, believe me. The world is not sugar and spice. People should really travel the globe and see how good we really have it.

So what countries have you been to?

I agree on both counts. If I were a Republican, I'd be embarassed on about fourteen levels on behalf of McCain.

One thing though, the clip is from Al Jazeera USA, which will immediately hurt it's credibility, but it's still pretty messed up.
What's wrong with Al Jazeera USA?

Only thing I thought of was I wonder if they told them what network they were being interviewed for.

"Who did you say you were with?"
"..."
"Terrorists!"

That plane above almost single handedly brought down the USSR and maped out hostile positions all over the globe. The coolest thing about it is most nations KNEW it was there, couldn't really track it, and had no chance to do anything.

Sorry honey, but it was the U2 that did most of the reconnaissance work during the early parts of the cold war when the conflict actually could have turned "hot".

It was the U2 who discovered the nuclear weapons in Cuba and prompted the Cuban Missile Crisis. After that little event, as it appears to me, the possibility of a nuclear strike of the ICBM variety was very, very diminished.

The Blackbird is an amazing plane though.

You just don't know what you're talking about about half the time.

I like the X-15 the best :emb:

There is A LOT about the SR71 you don't know about, most of it was classified, they don't just advertise the thing flying over hostile nations. It more then certainly mapped out parts of Russia and did it's part. The world knew our capabilities and put hostile nations on their heels, the Black Bird mapped out entire countries in stunning detail.

Holy shit! You know classified government secrets?!?

:annoyed:

Gee and the U2 wasn't just as classified?

But I forgot that one single plane won the cold war.

It wasn't a variety of factors at all some which were non American in origin.

That's just not possible.
