Well that's what the war was about. There wasn’t any laws back then except what was given by the Crown. We fought for independence and became our own country, that's usually how it works. They aren't just handing these things out unless another war is waged and the land is given (Israel)
I don't know what you're getting at and frankly I find your written arguments difficult to understand.
I'm well aware of what the revolution was about.
Identity sir, Identity, without it you are not a country. Some Monarchies work well. England had a good run and still use it to this day (figurehead or not they have pull). Here is a list of other functioning Monarchies
http://www.cosmoedu.net/monarchies.html
Our identity, as an American people, comes from the Constitution and the set of shared political beliefs that we derive from it.
It isn't a common ethnic heritage or shared cultural experience and it most certainly isn't a language.
I don't care if other countries derive their "identity" from the the citizenry's ethnicity or traditional cultural values. That has no bearing on a larger American identity.
Monarchies are illegitimate forms of government. That is my opinion on the matter, always has been, and always will be. Read
Common Sense for an in depth look at the illegitimacy of that form of governance.
Socialist as bad as it is IMHO also identifies a country; China for instance is becoming a world power under this regime. The point is you are attacking the values of other nations and did not address the issues at hand, IDENTITY. Hate speech IS illegal in this country. Get into a fight, make sure you shout some ethnic slurs while you are at it, BAM, hate crime. Say the N-Word? Lose your job. Affirmative action solely based on race and not ability or content of character. We are slowly becoming socialist, we just bailed out a FREE Market with tax payer’s money and we did not get to vote on it. We also placed limits on trading in the market; that is not free. Your argument is not making any sense.
No, hate speech isn't illegal. Your argument is garbage.
Starting a fight is already an illegal action. End of story. Calling that person a racial slur is probably only going to get you in more trouble if the court deems that you attack solely based on reason of prejudice. If thats not why the fight started, it's not a hate crime, but then again...what you're talking about is already an illegal action.
I can say nigger all i want at work. I can scream it at the top of my lungs. But my boss can fire me if me screaming nigger is against the conditions in which he chose to hire me. Thats his fucking prerogative since my working their isn't a right, and my employment their is conditional on the rules i agreed to follow when I agreed to be hired their in the first place. I bet if I worked for the KKK i could scream nigger as much as I wanted to.
You have no understanding of the concept of free speech.
It's a link in the chain, and a BIG one. FRANCE=French, Russia=Russian, China=Chinese, Japan=Japanese......You get my point? Founded by English speaking peoples, we cannot have multiple languages as a country, one country, one language. Enough with all this tolerance.
None of those countries were founded in the manner that the United States of America was. At the time of the actual founding America was very diverse from an ethnic, cultural, and linguistic standpoint. Even the founders knew and recognized that.
Under your logic our language should be American

but since the majority of us speak English I guess that makes us English? Quick someone call up the Queen.
Nationalism FOUNDED this country. No B.S. about that. Illegal immigration is just that, illegal, what’s wrong about speaking against that?
No, this country was founded on reason.
We weren't founded until almost 14 years after the Revolution had ended and the Treaty of Paris was signed.
There was no overall feeling of National Unity, not until well after the Constitution was written. The articles of confederation was just that, a confederation of 13 sovereign states (countries). I think we even had a war, a Civil War - so much for your conceptions about National Unity.
You don't know what you are talking about.
Nothing is wrong about speaking against illegal immigration. But the speaker in question was bigoted.
