I've got my hands on a very cheap neogeo homesystem with some carts.

But it's completely stone dead. So i wonder where i go from here. Any suggestions for a trial & error lookup?

Lets start with the powersupply. Whats the voltage used and which polarity?

Also i got a RGB cable for the AV from my CDZ is it the same pins used in that as in homecart system?

try cleaning the cart slot, and pulling out the cart slightly after pushing it in.

Solved the problem myself. It was bad power through the circuits had to do some resoldering on the curcuitboard. But its working ok now without gfx glitches and messed up gfx.

So i'm pretty happy got this homesystem + 3 carts for $35 pretty fine deal. Bought it as a dead system.

The luck didn't last long.. Now i got another problem with the system. All gfx is ok for about 5mins of playing then i freezes or gets all black and i need to switch on and off the system but then it wont work for some time.. Is this a overheating problem or is it that the carts connectors are dirty?

Try the connectors - easier to clean the carts, you'll find. Check my earlier post for what to use (contact cleaner, non-lubed).

If you still have no luck and could wing it to the UK, I'd have a look for you, time permitting

It seems just like it get overheated in some way. works for some minutes then it keeps reseting itself.. and have to cool down for a while..
