Looks great. I'll get. Hope both characters are playable so we can get some play style variation in there, too.

Nobody there would know how to make a 2D game any more. Better leave it to someone who does.

I would have been fine with another 3D installment. There have been so many of of these modern 2D retro games recently that a well done 3D game might have been a nice change of pace.

Besides, 3D Ninja Gaiden > 2D Ninja Gaiden

EDIT: Except for Yaiba. That game sucked.

Same 100%. I was really hoping this new apprentice is an older Sanji with a new play style (though previous games alluded to Sanji aspiring to wield 2 blades like his father).

I was wondering if it wasn't Hayato from Dead or Alive. I think it would be cool to see Momiji, Ayane, Kasumi...all of the crew from Ninja Gaiden III playable in this fashion.

I know, I'm always asking for so much.

Update that it’s a new MC named Kenji Mozu who is protecting the village in Ryu’s absence:

"Our story begins when Ryu Hayabusa journeys to America to honor his father's will. While he is away, the barrier between the human and the demon worlds suddenly shatters, unleashing a terrifying army upon the Hayabusa Village, which now faces an unprecedented threat in Ryu's absence. Step into a reimagined version of the classic NINJA GAIDEN universe, brought to life through stunning, meticulously crafted visuals. Every enemy, from the iconic Black Spider Clan to newly designed fiends, is recreated with a level of detail that was once impossible."

I was so hyped for the trailer that I showed my wife footage from the NES classic, starting with that iconic intro. She insisted on watching the rest of the cinematics all in one go (keep in mind this was around 2am; second shift wreaks havoc on sleep schedules, but this was worth it).

The Jaquio remains one of, if not the, most visually striking villains in videogame history. Would be great to learn more about his backstory in some way, shape, or form.

I’m glad the Ninja Gaiden series is getting another entry.

I loved the original NES trilogy as a kid. This new one does this promising. Looks like it may have cinematic cut scenes, which would be awesome. Hope it gets a physical release.

Valid point. This may look like Ninja Gaiden but without good level design, it's just wearing the costume.

The new Strider made me sad, there was a good game in there but it didn't work.

Blasphemous had some devious platforming, especially in the challenge rooms added later on. And the later bosses put up a nice fight. I'm willing to give this a chance.

Meh. If you go 2D make it a linear old school type Castlevania type game. The 16bit Gaiden we should have gotten in the SNES era.

I guess I’ll wait until you fucks play it before I jump on this bandwagon.
