I was in San Diego yesterday at the first leg of the Fall tour for NIN, while visiting my cousin.

Autolux was meh, Queens of the Stone Age Rocked it, and NIN was killing, for about 9 tracks then the show ground to a halt for 15 minutes, and trent said "We Have a Medical Emergency. Jerome's Chest is pounding really bad." 15 minutes later the tour manager ( I think) turned the lights on, and said Jerome wasn't able to finish went to the hospital. And that the show was cancelled and they'd back Nov 20.

The Whole thing was just bizarre, and I guess its good I have a two for one deal. But I'm not sure if I want to fly out again.

Evidently Jerome is OK now, http://www.nin.com/tr/index.php and the next date is on.

I'm seeing them in Oakland on the 30th as well.

This is one of those warning signs people wish they'd heeded.

Sad People leaving. :crying:

Pix of the show before it was over.

Check out Trent's new hair. He's really got this whole "Rock God" thing down to a tee. He looks like a guy who can fuck your day up.

Autolux is good.

Nowhere near as good as QOTSA granted.

I feel bad for a lot of my friends who were all pumped about tonight show in Tucson.
We get jack shit for shows here, and this one was a really big deal.
BTW, Trent does indeed look ready to fuck shit up in those pics...he looks more like the Doom marine, fuck Teh Rock.

Wow, I'll be seeing them in Phoenix on Monday. I thought about getting tickets to the show in Tucson just for the hell of it, now I'm glad I didn't. I'm glad the guy is okay, but this whole thing just really sucks.

The show in Phoenix went off without a hitch. At least I believe so. I'm not exactly sure if Autolux played or not. Due to some last minute replanning, we didn't get to the arena until 7:20. Queens of the Stone Age was already playing shortly after we actually got inside. So if Autolux did play, then they must have started the show early.

Overall, I think I liked this show more than the one back in May. My only complaint was that they played a little too much from With Teeth. This time they played Only and Right Where it Belongs, though, so I can't really complain too much. Also, about halfway through their set, Trent said, "You know, this wasn't supposed to be the start of the tour, but it is." Trent didn't say anything else and just went on with the show.

That's pretty cool man. :buttrock:

I can't wait until the Oakland show. Although I don't think I'll be able to make the re-scheduled SD show. :crying:

I liked the smaller venues here in SF in the spring more personally.

I was in the pit about 2 feet away from trent for the whole 1/2 SD show and it was a bit rough. It was more relaxed in SF (there are good areas) and I was able to enjoy the music more.

BTW I feel this warrants another post.

How about that light show? It was incredible. They really went all out. Even better than the excellent Spring Lights.

So many different things/setups going on. (Just as the Video Screen/Projector came on the show was canceled though)

I loved the Cutout LED walls all over the stage (in pix) and the way that the metal main lights moved via hydraulics.

Really incredible stuff.

Saw NIN at Brixton academy in July! great concert!!!

sorry to hear the show got cut short, Jerome is pretty hyper, not surprised that his heart would play up eventually. Glad hes ok tho!

I've always wondered what exactly that place was.

It always sounded like "NIN Plays Brixton High School" to me. Just the name sounded weird.

Is it a big venue? What goes on? Do You have pic?

Sounds more like what I went through during the show in May. Pit tickets sold out insanely fast and I wasn't able to get any, but having seats wasn't so bad. While swimming in a sea of people was an experience, I also liked not being drenched my own, as well as countless other people's sweat. Though, if I had the choice, I would have still gone for the pit.

I can't wait to see NIN in MN on Ocober 11!!! So close yet so far away.

btw, i hope Jerome's heart problem wasn't self induced (coke, speed...) that would be pretty stupid, unprofessional, and irresponsible. But either way, I hope he's fine now and can go back to finishing the rest of the tour.

When did Trent start playing guitar? Shit I thought he only did electronica. Guess I live 10 years ago, eh.

That's what I was thinking. Either he's doing it now, or he's feeling the effects of doing it for years.

I'm going to see them on October 5. I missed both shows in Denver back in May unfortunately because they sold out in under 2 hours. After seeing the pix i even more excited....outts be a kickass show, barring any medical emergencies.

Yeah don't get me confused though. I would never go to show for reserved seating at this joint. It's like watching Television. In April I was in the pit theres just this raised are about 15 feet back that is level with the stage, and it's calm because there are areas to put your drinks. So I was really close, but it was calm. Nice joint that warfield.
