I was just wondering if it was safe to use NiCd or NiMH batteries in my NGPC. They have different voltages than Alkalines do, so I was just wondering if I could use my rechargeables.

I'm using 2500 mAh Energizer NiMHs in my NGPCs and have been doing so for years... I've never had a problem with them because of the batteries I'm using... I have six of them, btw - an original Neo Geo Pocket, three NGPCs, a mash-modded Neo Geo Pocket Color with frontlight, and a Neo Geo Pocket Color "Slim"... I've used the NiMHs in all of them for ages, so don't worry about it... ;)

Don't see why not. I think I was using rechargables back when I had my NGPC. Never had a problem.

Rechargables are fine, only problem is that they wont last as long as regualr alkalines but you save money on batteries. You probably won't notice the difference in battery life unless you play for hours a day.
