NGPC-DC link cable

While playing the wonderful making mode in KoF R2 and collecting more and more skills I was thinking of getting a link cable to link my NGPC with KoF99 on DC. Anyone ever done this? Is it worth the bucks?

I have the link cable, and got it for $30 bucks when it came out. Its a cool novelty if you can find it. Its more useful for SNK Vs Capcom:Motm then KOF R-2 though. Still you can use it to unlock various art in KOF99 Dreammatch and Kof99 Evolution too I believe.

I know it does make it easier to unlock characters in some games though I have ever used mine.
