The only thing I would suggest is we wander around like nomads, hit up the "Big three" Strip arcades (Luxor, New York New York, Scary clown place/adverture dome), and maybe stop at that one place on trop that is gettin Gameland's Neo*Geo machines

sorry, folks -- i was away from the computer for the last 24 hrs, and i'd planned on taking care of some stuff around the house today (especially since we haven't really got a place to go (not one we've decided on, anyway) now that gameland's closed).

my availability on 5/14, 5/15, and 5/16 is kind of up in the air right now. my sister's boyfriend and i might fly to chicago for a day or two that weekend to go clubbing with a good friend of hoteiya las vegas -- we just learned that she's getting divorced and, even tho' we won't be attending Anime Central (which is in chicago that weekend), we thought it'd be nice to try to fly there briefly to hang out with her, go drinking & dancing, and just try to lift her spirits a bit.

we should all try to figure out what location(s) we want to use for semi-regular get-togethers (i like george's suggestion to hit the "big 3" -- at least for one sunday -- we could probably fit most of the sunday crowd in my car, just to save on gas), and make well-in-advance plans for a stateline roadtrip.

...and speaking of schedules: I just got a new full-time job working fora Terrible Herbest gas station on Cheyenne and Teneya. I'm working wed-sun, gaveyard shift 10p-6am~ish. My days off are gonna be mon and tues. I can do things on sat/sun as long as it's generally between 3p and 9p. The above may change on short notice due to the store being massively understaffed at this time (i already got a couple of O/T hours and the manager is talking about putting me on double shifts for swing and grave, yeeee~ ).

New fulltime job = more money for Anime and games (YaaaaY!)

but less time to watch it (boooo!)

BTW: I'm gonna go get the pictures devloped for the final Gameland lock-in tonight. I'll post as soon as I'm able.

Domino already told me in chat, and your thread shows as well, that your local arcade closed down Is there anywhere else to meet, someones house maybe?

Just let me know if you all want to do anything, unfortunatly all of the days I'm going to be in town are weekdays. I know it's short notice, but I figured I would give it a shot

I figured weekdays wouldn't be too good for most people

Unfortunatly hotel rooms are cheaper on weekdays, that's why I'm going to be there during the week

Fortunatly though I arrive in Vegas at 10:30 in the morning. Which means I might be able to make it. This is sort of a mini-family reunion though, so I have to check with everyone else and see what the plans are. Not sure if my wife will like me running off on our first day there and leaving her with the family

I'll drop you a PM and get your contact info. If nothing else maybe we can do something for a couple of hours during the week if that's all we can find time for.
