Don't know crap about it. Are the puzzles static? Can you download new ones by WiFi? That would be awesome.

I dont know about downloading new ones.

But I think the puzzles are static.

Its got a weekday thing where you can play a Monday - Sunday thing and unlock a new mode. Also got a quickplay and wifi multiplayer (which is odd).

Says its got over 1000 puzzles, which I guess makes it cheaper than a real book of crosswords.

Ok, no downloadable puzzles.

It is basically 3 full years worth of puzzles, ripped straight from the NYT between Jan of 2003 and Dec. of 2006.

You can go through a calendar and pick any one of the dates. It also grades you depending on time taken and the number of hints used. A+/- type scale.

It does have local wifi multiplayer.

So, yeah, its pretty fun. The interface is easy to get around, it has various zoom options, the writing recognition is pretty intuitive.

Worth 14 bucks really.

Heh, I thought the same thing.

Crossed Swords could actually work pretty well on the DS.

NYT crosswords are the hardest on the planet. I wanted to check this out, but they are really, really hard. I don't know if I can hack it... :emb:
