To be fair, amazon/play have listed it as late March for the past few months ... I blame Ignition for raising hopes of an earlier release and not bothering to meet them. I don't really like what you said about Pal SS5 save file ... I'm going to be waiting for KOFXI with trepidation now ...

I was talking about the NGBC save file, not SS5. =[ I've only played SS5 once since I bought it.

About the release dates, some sources said it was in March and others said somewhere in January.

:annoyed:
Even worse, lol. I had no intention of picking up SS5, but I was considering buying Pal NGBC. I won't bother now. I'll keep my fingers crossed that KOF XI turns out OK.

Any chance the PS2 port of Atomiswave's Fist of the north star will get a PAL release. Its out in Japan in march. I love watching the Fist of the north star anime movie.

It's quite hard to see it get a PAL release due to licenses of the Hokuto series, specially when these games get a budget price tag... Looks like importing should be the way to go.

BTW, KOF XI is stated as "early 07" in Ignition site, it should be around March.

It seems that Australia got XI today. Anyone who has it here? If so, can you please post impressions?

SS6 is delayed once more, hah. They might as well replace "2007" with "20??".

I was actually on holiday in Hong Kong when KOF XI got released. It was very annoying, browsing through the PS2 games and seeing it sat there on the shelf, as I only had an unmodded Pal PS2 at the time, so I had no way to play the damn game. :blow_top: The nine month wait between then and the (supposed) European release has been and still is hard, but on the upside, at least we get it at a budget price.

Thanks for the update, Kanakura. I expected both KoF to be released at the end of March, but just XI is fine as well.

@Stephane: Why do you think it wouldn't be translated to French? Even if it isn't, just learn English like the rest of us Europeans. =[

Both KoFs seem to be delayed. Again. A lot of retail sites put down a later date.

The delays are terrible but PAL-Euro beggars can't be choosers...

Thing is that most people I know already bought the JPN versions because they didn't want to wait for ages to play these games and only a few of them will buy the Euro releases as well, they're no RPGs but fighting games where language/localization is not an issue anyway.

Still, better late than never... I guess the Euro PS2 gamers with unmodded systems (all three of them) will be happy about the SNKP PAL stuff.... ;)

That's what's happening here. At least we can be happy the games get released at budget price. In fact, most pre-PS2 Neo Geo inferior ports were not released in PAL format or had 50hz bullshit.

The situation is shitty, but I think it's less bad than during the 90s.

How arrogant. Some people (like me) just don't want to risk the lifespan of their PS2 by messing around with it. I thought I was doing the right thing by supporting SNKP, but now you're talking about downloading stuff? I thought N-G people would throw tantrums whenever they hear about getting stuff illegally.

Also, I prefer my games in English. Yes, I care about winquotes and endings. If I pay for a game, I want to enjoy it as much as possible instead of looking at kanji w/e stuff and bragging that I modded my PS2 to play a handful of games that may never be released in English *I'm glad I didn't, NGBC still sucked*.

I'll just wait for the English release, oh arrogant one.

*And if it is cancelled or anything, I'll just suck it up and move on.
