Personal preference I guess but I like the mix. With lots of games the effects drown out the music.
Seems like a simple enough solution. Lots of games have volume sliders for sound fx and music in an options menu.

The original game had great bass heavy sound fx that really stood out in crowded arcades. Even in a room full of loud cabs, Bad Dudes and RoboCop made their presence known by their voice and impact sound fx.

The game was remade from the ground up (graphics, sound, controls, gameplay) following the intellectually superior game designs exposed in this old video

Because that's what we wanted to do.

You can still choose to play a "classic" mode instead of the "burger" mode in the options menu if you prefer something closer to the original, without the extra interactions/enemies/boss/level.
I like that that's an option so people can play it how they want to. And you do you, Neo Dev is dead anyways so much as well have some fun with it.

But frankly anyone that spends hundreds of dollars on a cart for this is out of their minds. Charge me $15 for the ROM and you've got a deal.

There’s Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker on SEGA hardware if you want to see a nonce with rabid fans in a game that badly
