Sounds like it'll be out in Japan this year with a 4" screen instead of the 3 1/4" screen on the current model and it will sell for the same price as the current model.

Holy run-on sentence Badman.

PS: God damn it. Fuck you Nintendo, FUCK YOU. I refuse to upgrade!!! Why not put up some decent DSiware instead of revamping the damn thing already?

If this is true I might actually consider picking one up as I still have a release day original DS. But I also agree there is no need to make a unit w/ just a larger screen when they JUST brought out the DSi.

Lets see how this goes

Sell your current one before the word gets out.

Haha, original DS's are worthless already....if this does release...I don't think it will affect the price of the original much if anything.

This it typical Nintendo tactics. Release some new hardware, then about a year later, make some minor changes(color, screen/s...) and rerelease it. I've got a buddy that bought new Nintendo portables only to have them release a new version months after he upgraded. This happened to him like three generations of hardware in a row, he was pissed.

This is why I'm still on my original/fat DS. It's still a DS that plays DS games, I really don't need anything else (but omg those screens are so nice :().

IIRC it was actually you that was selling GBA SPs a few years ago, and a few months later the backlit ones came out (I think I bought it before the backlit ones were announced). IIRC I got a good deal and used my SP like razy, but I was (slightly) bummed that I could have gotten a better model if I'd only waited.

Still the same resolution, right? I prefer my pixels as small as legibly possible anyway.

Nintendo is trying to cater to the older generation in Japan as elderly complained that the DS/DSi screen is too small.

Nintendo is considering to bring the "bigger" DSi to the US market. The price tag is around $200 USD.

i have to say that i'm interested but i might as well wait for the next one they release :oh_no:. i guess you have to stop and make a purchase sometime, but with the frequency at which they're releasing these different models, it just makes me want to wait.

Is this coming out in the U.S. anytime soon? I might bite the bullet and finally buy a DS.

Part of me wants it because of that sexy-large screen.

Another part of me wonders what the battery life will be?

Five, maybe six hours on medium brightness?

Well, Nintendo said it would be 13-18 hours on low brightness, which is considerably better than the DSi on the same settings.

As for me, I'd actually think about getting this... I still have a fatty DS too, and it'd be nice to have a fancy schmancy new one. I wouldn't buy it 'til the price came down though (i.e. in two years, at least).

Makes me glad I stuck with my Lite. I'll probably get this if it comes out over here.

Bigger than the psp?
I'm actually content with the size of the ds as it is.
Not really sold on it.
