I'm not trying to convince you of anything. Do want you want.

Suppose you have a 6 slot cab too then?
Can you please leave me alone now? I'll buy the compilation. Just shut up.

hahahahaha

here comes HanafudaX to talk about Sony and give his exceptional and isolated personal history of trouble with Nintendo products. What a fucking joke.

It all depends on personal experience.

You think I am the only person that has had hardware problems with Nintendo products? Yeah, my DS Lite issue must have been exceptional, as they told me they were extra busy, so the repairs would take longer than normal.

What a fucking joke.

NES - no problem

SNES - no problem

Gamecube - no problem

Virtual Boy - no problem

Game Boy - no problem

Game Boy Pocket - no problem

Gameboy SP - no problem

DS - after 1 week had 1 dead pixel in the middle of the screen, mailed it out Monday via priority, had it back on Thursday of that week

DS Lite - no problem

I fucking hate Nintendo, my life has been plagued by system problems from them.

Back on topic:

Does NGBC support progressive scan?

Miyamoto had bent me over a table and raped me when I was 12.

Howard Lincoln made me do quayluudes and perform fellatio on him.

I never had trouble with mine when I was a kid, worst thing that ever happened was having to clean out a cartridge I rented with rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab thing.

Apart from the odd cheapo collector, a real collector would never consider a budget version anyway.

Get a life. Are you going to play games, or mount them behind glass on your wall? I can't believe people like you still exist, Real Collector. Are you the envy of all the kids on your block by only buying the more expensive versions of games?

I was just speaking in general, I only own a handful of games for my DC, Xbox & Naomi & Naomi are just the plain boxes, I would never go for art work on a arcade product, like shockbox for example.

I don't think most video game consumers fall into the 'collector' category. If they did, publishers wouldn't bother to have Greatest Hits or whatever in the first place, because they wouldn't sell.

I got bare cus from a big Neo collector over owning the "greatest hits" version of Soul blade on PS1, but yeah most I guess its only the die hards.

Back on topic, I think...

I just bought Tenka for 50...used. But I am excited about NGBC at least, so there's good news for me anyway. 30 dollars is not a bad deal at all.

Yeah, how dare you have an opinion if you don't post at least 5 messages a day!

Not always necessarily always true, look at yourself for instance. 5 messages a day and still shouldn't have an opinion.

Anyways, "Back on Topic"

I agree with SouthtownKid, it's nice that SNKP has released these single ports. Now I personally like the AW carts better, but with the single PS2 games you can at least complete your AES or MVS collections without being forced to jump into a $1000+ expense with the Atomiswave to obtain one of each game. Very cool affordable alternative.

You actually looked that up?

Yeah, I personally prefer the AW version of KOF XI.

I'm happy to pay through the nose for load times longer than that of a home console, plus miss out on all the extras of the PS2 version, just so that I can own an real life arcade game :buttrock:

Well, if you knew anything about cart collecting and I'm not talking Gameboy DS now, you would know some extras and a few seconds don't mean all that much to buttrock over when the media is a disc.

Still a cool affordable alternative.

Firefox has spoiled me. No longer do I actually visit the homepage for the forums, but rather jump straight into Unrelated. Hence, I nearly missed this thread.

Now I've got a very compelling reason to either mod my PS2, get a Japanese one, or -gasp- get a Japanese PS3. But then the question begs: for someone that has Samurai 1-3 for the AES, do I snap the Collection up or run with the Best of em'?

Have all of these PS2 collections been relatively perfect ports so far? If so, I would go with the collection (just to have them all in one, easily accesible disc).

For the most part they have been. The only collection that had minor issues was Last Blade 1 & 2, something about the sound I remember reading. My friend just ordered that yesterday though, so I'll know soon enough.

I was actually wondering about that one myself. I have LB2 for DC, but I don't have the right controller for it, so I might pick it up.

I have Samurai 2 and 3 on AES.

I guess it depends what you are looking for, but as I mentioned earlier, the collection versions will have the re-recorded music that was done for the NEO CD versions of those games, and I personally love those soundtracks, so the addition is a big plus for me.

As for the Last Blade collection, I didn't get it myself as I have both games on AES, but I think I heard that the timing was off somehow. Not quite sure. Either way, that one had some bad press, but all the other compilations have been really well received. I have the KOF Orochi collection, and am really happy with it.

If I am still arround the house in January, I will so order NGBC for the low price of $30. That is like a steal. Also is SST the best version of the series as of yet?

I am so glad that I got my Japanese PS2.

Also, I know this is slightly off topic, please check this out. Another reason to own a Japanese PS2 that supports BBA :mr_t:
