Hello,

I have a US AES NEO GEO first run that gives me a weird Yellow screen during the diagnostic test. I replaced the VRAM but I am still getting the same problem with the background graphics not showing up. Sound is perfect. I don't know where to go from here. I checked the board over thoroughly several times and cannot find any trace damage. The board is really clean. I attached a photo of what I am seeing when I turn it on without a game. I would appreciate any insight anyone can provide. If you need me to provide more pictures (board view, game running etc..) let me know. Thanks!

Assuming you replaced both VRAM chips, I'd check the LSPC next for potentially a short due to a solder bead around its legs.

Next, being a first run board, does it have the PL241S daughter board? A bad solder there might also cause an issue.
A good way to test if this is causing an issue is to connect using a SCART cable.

Pics of your board might help.

Which VRAM chips did you replace, this would be for the main VRAM and not the fast VRAM.
