This can make it a solderless solution. It is a bit bulky though


gp2040 rocks. I use it with my cabs.

I ordered these,
Yeah I've got to assemble them but I only need to do that once.
I saw some assembled ones but the price was 2X.
I'll just have to remember to spend the extra $1 and buy future Pico's with the headers pre installed unless I need hole through versions for some reason.
I used to be better at soldering but I hadn't done any for a few years.
Shaking some of that rust off was kinda fun & satisfying.

Oh those are nice, much more compact. I kinda like mindless soldering like this, it's fun in its own way. So I wouldn't mind assembling them.

I've also learned that you can add USB passthrough to it.
I can get this working on my PS5.

I is pretty easy.
If you buy the pico board with the headers pre installed and get a DB15 breakout with screw terminals you can skip the soldering altogether by using wires with DuPont connectors.
The hardest part is putting it all into some kinda of case instead of letting it all just hang about like you see here.
