Neo Geo with "223K serial number"... so what?

Hi. I saw on Usenet a guy selling a Neo cart unit with "223K" serial number. He was pretty proud of that number, and I must ask: what's the big deal? Does this mean it's a newer Neo, or is there some other significance to it?

That is a high number. It must be a Jap system. it was probably one of the last batches to be made.
