Does anyone play League Bowling using the connection cable across multiple consoles? That would be an awesome multi-player experience!

Heh, We tried to get it working at a convention a few years back to no avail. :(
Riding Hero worked fine with the same cable though

You're right, NTM is the best but there are plenty of other great sports games. None of them come close to the complexity and enjoyment you get out of NTM, it's on a league of its own, the attention to detail was way ahead of its time, even now it triumphs over anything golf arcade related, hell even console golf games but that just my personal opinion.

Gotta say, I've been loving NTM since I got it last week. Got my first eagle yesyerday! Woo! Chipped it out of a bunker and plopped straight in. I was so excited I nearly shit myself :)
I like to play it at night before I go to bed.

Ain't just your opinion.
It's on a league of its own.
I feel exactly the same thing for Baseball Stars 2.

That game taught me to like baseball in general!
I hardly knew the rules.
The problem with TWC96 is that it's a football game. There are plenty. Not just on the Neo, but everywhere. And some are better.
Doesn't make it a bad footy game tho. I really like its arcade touch, but I feel the first Sidekicks to still be the king among Neo Geo football games.

Yeah Baseball Stars 2 is probably my favorite Baseball game just like NTM is my favorite golf game.

Tecmo '96 isn't the best Futbol game, not even in the Neo let alone arcade in general. For me the Next Glory and Neo Geo Cup '98 are the best but everyone has their different favorite SS, that's how good that series is, solid in every single entry.

Edit: The reason I asked about Tecmo '96 lovers is 'cause that game never gets mentioned and it's definitely a good game, I like it better than all the other futbol games in the neo sans the SS series.

It's a legitimate thing.
The Sidekicks series are really nice, but I'd rank TWS96 above Ultimate 11. It's easily my least favorite of the 5 ( including NGC98 here ).
I think maybe, only Pleasure Goal is really that bad. Goal Goal Goal is kinda weak, but I like the game play. I admit I hardly touch it, but it's a common problem when you're surround by better games.

Pleasure Goal is just way overpriced, I do however like the pass better in it than GoalX3, the pass on GoalX3 is so ridiculous, accurate as hell but it looks so unreal, like the ball is a magnet and the shoes are made of metal...

Windjammers, Super Dodgeball, Power Spikes II and League Bowling.

The one sports game I hate the most is Street Hoop, I find it impossible to play.

Does nobody play Stakes Winner?
I know it exists but that's literally it. Never played it and never heard anyone say they've played it either.
Is it that bad?

My wife likes Stakes Winner, but, the problem with Stakes Winner, is it is just one of those games that gets old real quick and it feels stale within about 45 minutes of play. At least it does for me, I just have a hard time getting into it. I would go for Stakes Winner 2 over another horse racing game, like .. say... Jockey Grand Prix, but, overall Stakes Winner is just kind of weak. I do happen to like the little faces that the horse makes when you whip it, and when it wins etc.. it's fun to watch for a little while.

As for Pleasure Goal, I am surprised that so many seem to dislike it, the game seems strange at first, but, just like most games made by Saurus, the game is quite unique, and has a completely different look and feel than most other games on the Neo that gives it an extremely fresh feeling. I happen to enjoy playing Pleasure Goal from time to time, for an hour here and there. It's just a fun little game, however, it's price is high due to low amount of MVS carts made, and no AES counterpart existing. Even the CD version of the game has a lower than average amount made than most other Neo CD games.

Any love for Top Player's Golf? Although NTM is a far superior game, TPG is still very enjoyable. Playing match play with friends is a blast.

I like it.
But it's hard to come back when you also have NTM on your shelf.

If you read between the lines NTM has lots of depth, not only on the physics but also the background and crowd support, all them rules applied to a newer perhaps more colorful game would be ace, wouldn't mind a detail chart of your overall progress.

On the NTM score thread Los Turfes Club I'm gonna dive into details with all the charts and start highlighting the top players by amount of eagles, birdies, and what have you. This game offers so much and provides a tremendous solid template for anyone developing for a golf game.
