Whoever's selling that cartouche is a cardouche.
The appraiser was probably neotropolis.

Last I read from this guy was he said they are worth $800.
Now look what he says ...
for sell are ORIGINAL Neo Geo MVS carts for the following games...
Metal Slug
Metal Slug X
Metal Slug 3
Puzzle Bobble (a.k.a. Bust-A-Move)
Sengoku
Street Slam
These are MVS carts for Neo-Geo Arcade. Puzzle Bobble and each of the Metal Slug titles usually sell $100-$200 each. I have recently seen each of the Metal Slug titles go for $300 each.
All 6 carts are recently tested on multiple MVS units and are in perfect condition.
NOTE: If you purchase with BUY IT NOW I will refund the shipping cost.![]()

if you're trying to cash in selling some fake* crap better do it elsewhere.
kitkit also lost major rep points for not letting teh drama roll in.
*according to SNK.
Damn, I should sell some common MVS carts as a bundle, too.

Did they mod a home system to work in a cabinet?

Because home carts used to be cheaper than their arcade counterparts some arcade operators performed this mod in order to save some cash.
