It's a second hand store chain in Japan. Known for selling retro games.

It's basically a littlr card that reads "Please sell Famicom/Neo Geo games" "No game included. Please bring this empty case to the register for buying"

they put those in all those game cases that are valuable so that people don't try to steal them from the shelves.....

and this guy is selling it as a extremely rare JAPAN item for 1000€.........

wonder what kind of drugs he is taking...

You goobed up. ABS usually = 3D Printed. Again, its the same case listed Here Have it printed in resin for 20 dollars. 🧈 smooth to calm the 'tism. The amount of money people have made ripping off the fusion is staggering. Surprised you would contribute.

Aliexpress is surprisingly allowing me to return this for a refund, on the grounds that it doesn't match the photo, and the one time I tried it, it didn't seem to work.

I still would like an injection-molded plastic shell for my Furrtek Fusion (saw someone on ebay made one from a JGO long back) one that fills the whole slot (the girth!).

$800 for used Japan NGCD Fatal Fury 2 without an obi? It has to be a mistake. I just bought a nice one for less than $100.

Lol, it's definitely not an $800 game... yet.

It's actually not that common a title, so probably in 10k yen range on average. A sealed copy would fetch a pretty penny.

NGCD Big Tournament Golf bid up to $570. So is this really the price now? (I still blame speculator sellers.)

I think BTG has been in that price range for a while now... it certainly hasn't just jumped from, say, $150 to $500+

CD prices have been slowly rising over the last 5 years; nowhere near the insane jumps we witnessed with AES prices, but the more uncommon and sought after Japanese titles are definitely not going down in transaction value. Hardware prices are also creeping up - especially for the CDZ.

I'm not convinced. We don't have much selling data to back this up. Previously it was just asking prices on ebay that were $500+.

That was a rather dirty copy that sold for $570 too. I would say a nice CIB one would set you back around $600-625.

It's an in-demand game, but I'm not convinced it's very rare. There are 8 listed on ebay right now, and there were more before. For some reason all of the sellers were asking around $800, and that helped push the price up.

I dare say it isn't.... or wasn't. I don't think print runs matter anymore, it's all about open market availability.

I recall being able to pick-up a copy of Neo-Geo Cup '98 with no drama, and for less than 100 quid. Now, it's what, one of the hardest to find Jap AES games and commands well into four figures if you want to buy a copy. Sengoku 2001 is another cracking example - at one point no one wanted it, now it's a $$$$ game.

BTW... how the fuck do you play these games if they're encased in perspex?

Too bad you're never meant to take it out, because if the game is just for display purposes, these things are ugly.
