neo geo cd box question. is this a normal outer box or something else?

this is probably a noob question (it is) but anyone ever see a neo geo cd top loading system (not cdz) come in brown cardboard box?
is it maybe a second inner box? I've had a few ngcd systems years ago and don't recall these boxes.

I saw one for sale whilst perusing a regional auction site. caught my attention-

edit: never mind, I have just found out that it was a variation of the Brazilian box.

I've never owned a neo CD, but I highly doubt they came in such box types in Japan. Did the Neo CD have other regions?

that's actually pretty cool. didn't know brazil had their own neo cd box variant. kinda reminds me of the cdz box style!
