Welcome back, Spike!I'm extremely cautiously optimistic about this release. I've been wanting to get back kn the club, ans this would be as good a time as any.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
The epic levels of butthurt moaning we're going to hear in 6 months! Strap on, boys!
Should have killed him when you had the chance.God, is this asshole even still alive?
The thing is, this is a product of interest to: 1) whom never had the chance to own a Neo Geo, or 2) nostalgic/curious long term NG users. The epic levels of butthurt moaning we're going to hear in 6 months! Strap on, boys!
Seriously. The thing is, this is a product of interest to: 1) whom never had the chance to own a Neo Geo, or 2) nostalgic/curious long term NG users.
What really is amazing is that category 1) already starts to complain about the reproduction quality of items they probably never possessed earlier, I mean…what?
Looks like a cheapo current version of Sly Stallone and also what is that photoshopped background
He’s here! What about his Dion Dakis' Chris sidekick dude?
I wonder if the manual will be the same for all languages including JP.
these goobs... they disgust me
I have seen this and I absolutely disagree with the position they guys in the video are taken (obviously I don't agree with being aggressive but I digress). They are saying basically that its ok for a new indie game for the Neo Geo to cost 300 - 400 bucks now, because they have yet to make money on the games, but Neo Geo's fresh AES titles have already made their money. With this type of reasoning every indie title on any system should cost 300-400 bucks and that's stupid. I always thought that new AES titles are so expensive because the carts are expensive to produce not because indies need to earn several hundreds of bucks per sale. Now there is the opportunity to team up with Plaion and produce AES games cheaply, so it is acceptable for customers now to expect to pay 80 Euro for a new game. My two cents anyway.
Discussion about indie dev pricing vs $90 carts starts around the 11 minute mark.
yeah I work in game dev as a composer and just imagining something I work on getting a niche cart release basically saps all the funds they'd have to pay me for my work unless partnering with someone like limited run or whatever other manchildren-aimed repro quasi-grifters. I dont know if I agree that $400 should be reasonable, but definitely doesn't seem doable at $90

I have no idea what’s costing Plaion to make these new carts, probably a few dollars. They should provide developers access to these carts so games can be as affordable as possible, even if not 90 bucks.yeah I work in game dev as a composer and just imagining something I work on getting a niche cart release basically saps all the funds they'd have to pay me for my work unless partnering with someone like limited run or whatever other manchildren-aimed repro quasi-grifters. Buttafuocomaxxing, I will say I do admire his lifelong commitment to being a scumbag
Definitely would be cool if Plaion can start publishing indie neo games, if they open that pipeline to devs then I would expect $90 indies as well as classic re-releases for sure. I've worked for SNK on a bunch of their newer games in the last 6-7 years and they've seemed very open to all kinds of endeavors, I see no reason a new era of neo-geo development can't begin now.I have no idea what’s costing Plaion to make these new carts, probably a few dollars. That would make perfect sense. Indie devs will be able to sell more games and make more money, and Plaion get more people buying their system. Yeah. I agree with you on this. I was a bit surprised by their position considering that most modern devs list their games on various digital storefronts in addition to whatever physical run they put on sale. Currently, the public doesn't know the cost or design of Plaion's carts or what a third party contract would look like, so they are likely jumping the gun on this.I have seen this and I absolutely disagree with the position they guys in the video are taken (obviously I don't agree with being aggressive but I digress). Case in point: Pixel Heart have a ton of Neo Drift Out stock left priced at 300 Euro a pop. Good luck selling those to new AES+ owners now that the perceived value for new AES carts being 80 Euro.
God I hope not, hopefully these idiots that want reversible inserts don’t ruin it for everyone else. I am aiming to Japanese and Us carts for that reason.I wonder if the manual will be the same for all languages including JP.
