I can actually see another use case apart from connecting to a CRT, and that would be using a decent scaler as output.
I doubt the HDMI on the AES+ will be able to both upscale and render decent CRT shaders at 4k for instance.
In that regards then, having an RGB out will enable people with scalers such as the retrotink4k to bypass the hdmi scaler of the AES+ and take advantage of the more capable external solution?
