Maybe H0ffman's Golden Axe and Shinobi ports got people thinking sideways about what's possible. There are a few arcade games that are essentially available on arcade boards only (or MAME) that I wouldn't mind see ported, but I also never expect to see them ported because of the tremendous amount of work. However, porting stuff already available on common old consoles with inferior hardware makes little sense to me.

Recommend just buying some boots of those and be happy. Just cut out the red tape of internal licensing corporations. Anything official is still a distant pipedream.

I looked into this the other day, and I think the only product they've ever had delayed was the A1200. That's a pretty good track record considering the number of projects they've released. On the other hand, it is an example of a delay, and it was pretty recent.

Also AES+ is very different from their other emulation based products....
