That's what GOG is for. Actually the most problems I ever had running older games on modern Windows had more to do with the game having baked in need for GFWL than anything Windows. Still Microslop, but not Window's fault.

You probably never used bc for gaming. Nothing beats original hw , especially if you play games currently not on steam/ gog (try playing NOLF1/2 see how easier it is with original hardware)

There are plenty of good games on 3DO VB and 32X. Jaguar is a bit of a different beast but has a few games that can be fun.

I just sold Chrono Trigger and a bunch of Dragon Quest titles (all for GBA) still in factory seal for $100-$150 each.

Why were they still factory sealed?

Because there was a time when I needed to be one of those 'own every title in a series' types without truly understanding what it means to waste all that time playing them. So I kept them in the factory wrapping subconsciously knowing that a factory sealed title is 'worth more' than an opened one.

Turns out I was right!

These days, digital purchase for MOST titles and only when I intend to play the game or if it's a ridiculously low price that can't be passed up. I paid $20 bucks for Chrono Trigger NDS from Best Buy God only knows how long ago.

Yeah, I think we all did this at one point or another. I remember buying from that guy on ebay. I think his name was classic gaming source. Think the dude found a stash of Neo release titles in a warehouse or something and he was selling them for dirt cheap like $40 a pop or something. I would have two of each. One for playing and one to keep sealed. Stupid because outside of the Neo Seal you could hardly tell which was new and used.
