"The vinyl record effect" means exactly what in this context? Vinyl has a niche market now, but it can't be compared to when the format was in its prime. Same with Neo Geo -- It's going to be a niche, it doesn't serve the same purpose as the system's original run. So I'm not sure what "completely immune" means. I can't see the point of the post.

32x: best ports at the time of MK2, Space Harrier, Afterburner, Virtua Fighter, Virtua Racing, and NBA Jam. Shadow Squadron was a good game.
Sega CD: Snatcher, Dungeon Explorer, Battlecorps, Final Fight CD, Shining Force CD, Android Assault, both Lunar games, Eternal Champions CD, The Terminator (different game from cartridge version). That's off the top of my head.

CDi is much older than them (1990), but I often associate the CDI 550 model with that gen, because they kind of released it to compete in that space.

I haven't looked, because really don't give a shit, but please tell me CDi of all things isn't up in price. Like, no one wants that thing for any reason, right?
Edit: look, I'll defend the 3DO, maybe the Jaguar, even the 32X, I can't think of anything redeeming about the CDi. You could play the Nintendo licensed games for laughs but I'd rather just watch the cut scenes on YouTube and skid the shitty gameplay.
