Look at the start of this thread, ESRB ratings got discovered with the name AES+ and bored internet nerds went crazy. After a few pages in this thread we started getting close to guessing what it actually was. Cat was kinda out of the bag.

I thought we were all in agreement that this thing isn't actually done yet, and they pre-sold to gauge interest so they know how many they need to make. It's not like the manufacturing and distribution just happens overnight.

another thought, sorry burning fight, but there is no way Plaion will release every game, meaning it will drive up the price of those games and add to rarity. Some of my favorite games are older, and less likely to see a Plaion release, thank Jeebus I have MVS copies, Real Bout in particular.

Ironic that a system and games that was supposed to make AES more accessible just made it even more unaccessible to buy real carts by making even the cheap stuff pricey now.

Seems even MVS carts are caught up in a feeding frenzy right now. Cunts are jacking up prices on eBay and dumb goobs who don't know any better are buying some of it up. Just a few months ago you wouldn't see many new listings come up day to day but seems lots of people are trying to cash in on the hype. Glad I got most of the MVS carts I wanted before the plus announcement and stupid faced youtubers got all the normies riled up

I still play Virtua Racing 32X every so often. There were a few other good ports, but Virtua Fighter, Mortal Kombat II, NBA Jam, Doom and Star Wars just aren't my thing.

Shame that Bloodletting (Symphony of the Night) and Darkstalkers got canceled for the crap that did get released in their place.

Sega should have done more super scaler conversions to the 32X. But in all honesty, most of the 32X titles would have been welcomed on the Sega Saturn. All the 32X did was eat resources the Saturn desperatedly needed.

Fatal Fury 3, SSII, and a few others have kept lower prices throughout the years because of the objectively high number of copies produced at the time of release. Price has nothing to do with the quality of the game itself; otherwise, that fishing game master of something (can’t even remember how to spell the title) wouldn’t be worth thousands.

The problem these days is that people have (somehow) more disposable income for trivial things such as video games, coupled with those pay-in-3, pay-in-5 credit plans, and you will understand how FOMO (lol FOMO after 40 years) pushes prices up and folks are willing to pay stupid prices for something that shouldn’t really demand those prices to begin with.

I wanted to like that game but the rubber band gameplay spoiled it for me.

Was cool seeing those early 3d special stages though.

The rubber band gameplay makes it one of the best team games I've ever played. It's such an elegant solution to 2-player Sonic, compared with plugging in a second controller to play Tails in Sonic 2 & 3.

The 32x had potential but all we ended up getting out of it is some pretty decent arcade ports.

I have fond memories of the 32x and 3DO and enjoyed them at the time. Stayed away from the Jag as nothing on that console interested me. My brother bought a Virtual Boy after it failed and they were giving them away, neat to try for a couple of minutes and then the nausea and headaches set in. Why they went cheap with those awful red LEDs idk.

I was super stoked to get my SCD, 32X, and 3D0.
Then, as I played them, I realized I had made a terrible decision.

Doubt a Sega Neptune would have anywhere the appeal of the aes+, I'd only buy for virtua racing, afterburner, space harrier, nba jam, virtua fighter and mortal kombat 2. All have better cheaper and mostly better versions on the Saturn. A lot of people highlight knuckles chaotix, the rubber band gameplay just frustrates me.
