the sega wiring diagrams usually mention the connector type. does snk not do the same ?

I don't have a wiring diagram and the connector itself doesn't have any writing on it.

I know its not kosher but you could always just cut it off and put more common molex connectors on your stuff.

Nooo. Just depin it and stick pins in a new connector. Normal molex connectors typically have 2 notched edges. Never seen anything like what you have. I order my connectors from mcmelectronics.

Its the same type of connector found on old Capcom Cabs, Status, New Concept, Cute etc. if I remember correctly its an AMP connector, go to: http://www.te.com/usa-en/home.html
