I just purchased a 29" Super NEO cabinet. Got it for 260 outright. Looks very clean. Will I be able to just plug in any 1 slot MVS board and start playing in stereo sound? Also will I have to do any modification to the control panel? It seems that the previous owner has it setup for 6 button Street Fighter 2 layout. He did mention that he ws using a CPS2 system in the cabinet before.

Nice price....yea, you just plug it in and there may be a switch on the board that says Mono or Stereo, just switch it to stereo

That is a really good price, did you get it locally or from the person who sells em on ebay? (One from L.A)

I got it from someone in Bakersfield. It is near LA and so maybe that is cool since I live in SF.

I don't think switching your 1 slot MVS board to stereo on your Neo Candy 29 will get you stereo sound. At least on mine it doesn't. I can only run mine in mono.

If you get yours to work, let me know how.

He's right. The Super Neo 29 only comes in pre-set mono. I know there is a simple wiring modification you can do, but I dont know what it is. My neo 29 is smashed, and I am rebuilding it. I plan on using it to install my Sega Dreamcast

So then if that is the case, what do I have to do to get the sound out of both speakers? I really would like stereo if at all possible. I was under the impression that since my cabinet is already wired for stereo sound, do I just need to switch it to stereo and that is all? I guess what I want is for the sound to come out of both speakers. My appologies if I sound dumb, I am not all that technical when it comes to JAMMA and cabinets.

Nah, don't feel dumb. Those cabinet came wired for mono sound. Only the multi slot cabs came with preset stereo. Since my neo 29 was smashed, I said "fuck it" and bought a real mini cab set up for 4 slot...for simple plug n play

can someone please post that tech url that shows how to do the stereo wiring mod??

Better yet, do a search in these forums for "stereo" and I am sure something will come up. I've seen it here before.

Gamefan,

You should be getting sound from both your left and right speakers on your Candy. They are just producing sounds in mono and not stereo.
