agreed!
it will be a shame if the data on this cartridge is lost to the wilds.
if anybody does buy and have the equipment to stream the rom to another media, please submit the hashes to no-intro, for records and catalogue sakes. :D

I truly wonder if anything else like what NTM found (DragonsHeaven) will ever surface again. More so even if it does surface will the data be retained because even Dragons Heaven barely saw the light and not without losing the sound data.

What's the current price?
Around $350?

What do you think it will sell for?

The current price is about $330.

The program roms, Gfx and sound data are stored in eproms and OTPs, so there is a poorer probability to get them corrupt.

Too bad it's Stakes Winner...

This. If it was an early version of a good game I would be interested. Most of the time beta versions of games are like DVD/blu-ray extras: Not a whole lot to get excited about.

Very interesting bit of hardware... pity the software isn’t quite as exciting.

I’m sure I’ve also seen a dev board that was more the size of a standard MVS cart but had a couple of PCMCIA card slots..?

^^ wondered what the upper sockets were about.
probably a live hotswap way of testing new software, without having to add epproms with using a UV flasher. (possible networking ability depending on the pcmcia card inserted?)
still, a great piece of kit all the same. :p

Are you aware that you talk total fuckin' nonsense when it comes to anything remotely technical?

1. How swapping refers to removing or adding components while a system is powered on. Removing a PCMCIA card w/game code/data while powered on would be pointless.
2. There is no such thing as an "epprom."
3. There is no such thing as a "UV flasher." UV is used to erase EPROMs. Not program them.
4. The neo-geo dev boards that used PCMCIA cards used them to store ROM data. They didn't use PCMCIA networking cards.

oh, clearly you know FUCKALL about PCMCIA, an early version of hotswap.
pcmcia can do this live, it's down to the hardware. :D

Typical response from you. Tell me more about UV flashers for epproms. Those sound like real things. How does the UV light program data into those epprom chips that certainly exist?

yes, so what exactly is the equipment for updating the windowed chips used for?
and, what it's method of update/flash? :p
that's old equipment, it's possible custom chips nowadays contain their own write capacities direct via os software instructions.

I'm sure the world will be glad that you're focusing your valuable time on pressing issues, like a beta version of a virtual horse betting game.
