So I'm in the process of rebuilding a MVS-4-25 (ver. 3) from mostly the ground up, and I'm running into the issue of finding a source for two monitor connectors I need to finish the build.

The first would be the video cable from a WG K7000 monitor that connects to the 6 point molex connector coming off of the harness. Does anyone have an idea where to snag this, or perhaps have one they are looking to get rid of?

The second would be the six potentiometer array that connects to a lead off of the monitor. On stock MVS cabs, this is usually mounted right under the control panel.

Thanks a ton!

I actually got lucky with that first piece. What you should do is try to track down a junk cab with the wiring still in there and gank it from there. My mame cab had the old wiring in it and luck happened to have had said molex.

See, this was actually my original plan. However, the empty/junk cabs I've come across are always missing that damn connector! :D

I was told it was fairly generic, but that doesn't help if you can't find it online. ;)

Have you checked the Wells Gardner site for some docs that might give you part numbers?

The video/sync harness should be a cinch to make yourself. The monitor uses a 0.156 in line header. You could make your own with the appropriate mating socket and a molex connector to mate with the one coming off your harness. If you can't make something like that, the Real Bob Roberts sells some cables.

The PCB remote control board is a little more complicated. It doesn't look like Happ sells them as replacements. Just the resistors and pots that go on them. You could try calling Wells Gardner and seeing if they sell replacements. If they did sell them they probably will want a mint for one. If you had some sort of place near you that sells repairs monitors/arcade machines you could try calling them and see if they had any lying around.

Thanks for the input, everyone.

Unfortunately, it is the video/sync cable which attaches to the highlighted red area below. The other end of that should be a six pin male molex. :)

Making it is an option, too. I just seem to be having trouble finding the proper six pin male molex end. I shot off an email to Bob to see what his thoughts on it are.

Also, good news on the remote panel. It is a p802 remote board, and should fit just about all WGk7000 models if anyone is also looking for it.

Well my u5000 manual says its AMP part #1-640428-1, yet the manual I have that came w/ the monitor which was listed as a 25K7401 says AMP part# 1-640250-0. Since the first one doesn't seem to be stocked by mouser try 1-640250-0. It worked for my U5000!

The connectors I used with it were 3-770476-1.

As for the other end I made my own connector with a DB-15 the way I wire things up. My monitor doesn't sit inside a cab.

dude you could either

a) solder the wires straight on... order is rgb-pos/gnd
b) go ahead and crimp the pins and slide them on

I think you guys are trying to make this harder than it needs to be ;)

If you can't find the AMP molex in stores(only specialty places tend to carry them...but lots of places sell them online), you could always just replace it with a more standard 6 pin molex connector. Just pop out the pins and slide them into the new connector.
