Well obviously all the roms for Bang Bead are already out there, so I don't see why there would be any reason to get a proto of it. It's all already made. I wouldn't be surprised if what they released was just a conversion. Since they apparently got Bang2 Busters officially licensed by Visco, I guess what they're releasing basically amounts to an officially licensed conversion.

A conversion needs to have official mask roms to be considered a conversion. If it has eproms then it's just another Neoayato boot.

To me, if the cart contains all user reprogrammable chips then it's a homebrew. It's just a gray area. But in the end it all comes down to the quality of the game itself.

Ok I have found the problem with b2b hiscore saving. It turns out the games header data is either incorrect or changed. It appears for what ever reason they have 0x10e in the header set to the start of the highscore table. From my understanding 0x10e is the pointer to the start of the backupRAM storage, its also used as the offset for debugdips.

I don't visit here too often anymore and didn't realize that NCI already announced it but was quite surprised when I saw the AES cart at Mandarake the other day and took a pic of it while the staff weren't looking.

If NCI would not exists, we wouldn't have Bang2Busters or any chance to get the protos they're going to publish (QP, Lost Star, Warlocks and more to come). So NO, NCI is NOT a disgrace.
With TotC they made things really bad, partly because they had to rewrote the game from zero in a hurry due to non-working code (and 1st programmer group failed them), but they have learnt the lesson (from what they talk on social networks).

Its tough collecting for the neo when even what seem like reputable sellers at first, through their numerous positive feedbacks on ebay, have actually engaged in shady actions in the past (TTF, NA). The unfortunate part is that the positive feedbacks do in deed overshadow the nagatives. I had to become a member of these forums in order to inform myself better. I have bought from both of the aforementioned sellers before, but mostly neo cd games (TTF) and a Kizuna Encounter MVS (NA) which all appear legitimate. I don't think I would consider buying AES games from them though.

Problem with ebay feedback is that the rating scores only take account of the feedbacks earned in the most recent year. You can still see any older feedbacks in the feedback page, but those are not factored into their rating scores.

The info about NCI is spreaded across different threads. It seems that Mandarake have no interest on selling the game to nci (they have refused $30000+ offer), so who knows if that game will ever see the light. If exist, 'cause we don't know if that case is just an empty case.
