i want to start this and help run them...i simply want to help make SNK's presence really strong this year...im workin on some details later but...basically the idea is to have serious side tournies *in the worst case scenario* featuring these 3 blockbuster titles at EVO this year because, well, they are damned good and can compete with any other tournament caliber fighting games out currently...i will be checking this thread regularly for opinions, criticisms, ideas, whatever...as long as they are headed towards the same goal.

Depending on what the exact date is for this, I'd be down to go to vegas (hell, I went to san-fran for cge

@AKscrube: how many folks do we have going to EVO2006 that can bring Atomiswaves and/or KOFXI, SSTenkaichi, NGBC software? I'm hoping to get into Atomiswave, m'self, prior to EVO, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to score copies of all 3 of these games by then. The mobo shops I buy from in Akihabara are currently listing NGBC at 29400 yen, SSTenkaichi at 73500 yen, and KOFXI at 90000 yen. Hopefully we'll get a good price drop on SST and XI before EVO -- currently I could spring for NGBC, but the others are still a little pricey for me.

EDIT: AKscrube clarified things for me in the srk forums version of this thread. He's planning on running unofficial BYOC tournies on the JPN PS2 ports of these 3 titles. Two other guys in that thread were talking about bringing their consolized MVS and Atomiswave, so that had me thinking we were going to see more folks bringing arcade hardware. I'm still thinking I want to have an Atomiswave in time for EVO, tho....
