i use junk hotmail accounts to register at sites to reduce spam.

i only use my home address for sites that require a non-free email like ebay etc.

but i still lost.

i just reactivated my home account after a 2+ year downtime and i get about 20+ spam mails a day. anything from viagra to penis enlargers to std prescriptions to free electronic equipment to dildos. my email seems to be their safe place.

i remove spyware about 1-2 times a week.

i use outlook express 6.

anyway i can block the spam? a quality program that either autoblocks or allows me to stick all the junk i want to block in a folder or something.

what do you fellows use?

thx.

Mozilla Thunderbird should be a little safer guard about the spyware stuff.
If not that, I'd say change your e-mail address. Update your needed places that require a pay-address. If spammers don't even know you exist, you're less likely to get e-mail from them.

Download Thunderbird for email instead of Outlook and download the plugin that blocks images from opening automatically.

Mail Washer is a decent program to setup filters and the like. Instead of going right into your email client, you go into Mail Washer, see what's there and then delete it before it's even downloaded. You process your mail and it opens you mail client, clean and spam free, so long as you check the messages to be deleted.

It costs $30, but I'm sure you can find a copy some warez on-line for free.

Once I started using Mail Washer I only receive 3-5 messages of spam a day, if that, even before I filter my messages.

You may want to look into changing your current email address and then start using mail washer as well. This will give you a fresh start.

And as far as I know, as of right now it's not considered "free mail" so you should be able to use it to create new forum accounts and so on for places that require non-free email addresses.
