As funny as it sounds, I'd be willing to take some time to try to work at it as well, despite how I own zero Neo-Geo gear of any sort; but then again, due to that, I'm probably not as suited for the task as, say, shadowkn55.

The only problem I see is that the design of the converter itself lacks the mounting holes for the towers. Almost as if it was never thought out that people might want to put cases on these things. So now the screws have to be placed differently to secure the case.

Let me worry about that. You should be hitting up smkdan right about now.

I agree with Xian Xi. I remember back in the day making a case for a Phantom converter out of an AES shell that housed a broken game. I remember indeed the holes for the screws and thought this could be a problem here. But maybe you guys can figure it out. Would be awesome to get a case 3d printed for it! This community really is awesome!

As for Furtek making cases - he did mention somewhere that this would be way too expensive. Similarly Shadowkn55 had trouble getting the custom MVS shells made... just too difficult to get something like that produced commercially unless you order genuinely massive quantities.
3D printing is totally new to me... but it would be awesome if it worked out!

The simplest solution would to have screw holes on both sides of the case. They would screw inside the spacer that lies between the boards as they are now. If you go with black screws it would mask their presence a bit if the screws are placed higher than the cartridge slot.

Doing a mold or a 3d print for a one time purchase wouldn't be so bad even at a cost of $50-75. It's just one and done unlike reshelling an entire cartridge collection. I tried price the replacement shells as low as possible because more likely than not, people will want more than one. Of course, I could drastically lower the minimum order quantity by 70% if they were selling for $50 a pop instead of $15 each.

We'll sort something out these next days.

The assembly holes in the boards aren't as different as those from the SMVSC, just smaller (M3). The screws and spacers can easily be removed to let plastic towers through, which should only be used for alignment.

I was one of the last ones grabbed on IndieGoGo, so not expecting to be in the first few parcels, but I gotta admit I'm getting pretty excited here :)

The last postal address requests were sent wednesday, if you didn't get it, let me know.
About half of the shipping fee payment requests were sent yesterday and I'm getting a few of them collected up right now. Don't worry if you didn't get it today, I'm still sending them.

There are 3 packages ready for the US, 2 for Japan and 2 for Brazil, for now.

There was a slight delay because I wasn't expecting to pay that much for the ready-to-ship international boxes they propose here in France. Had to pick up regular cardboard boxes and tape them / print out the forms myself...

Has anyone gotten their hands on a copy yet? I am curious as to how this works compared to other devices like the Magic Key and Daedalus
