Before packing up my AES for the last time, I gave it one more test run.

Fusion converter works with the 161-in-1 multicart (yellow banana thing) !!! No issues at all.
It works also with Slug 3, but it DOES NOT work with Slug X -> I get the Neo intro screen but it just resets over and over trying to boot the game.

Not sure if this had been tested yet, so thought I'd contribute this newly (for me) found knowledge.

Peace :)

Yeah, mine doesn't work with Slug X or the 120 in 1 cart.

Has anyone still not received a product from Furrtek, or had any bad experiences? I've not been able to get in touch with him about an Atari Lynx VGA output board and whilst I originally thought it was just due to work and family etc, I am being told by 3 people that he isn't 100% trustworthy / dependable on delivery of an actual item. I am hoping they are wrong and its just a work or family thing here. Please let me know thoughts.

Too bad there's a trade embargo sanctioned on Russia. So it's 10 rubles + 10 years. XD

Yo,
gonna revive this old thread.... Cause I have an issue with my converter and need someone in the UK or EU who would be interested in one of these converters.

Basically I sold my homecart system a while ago. I was left with the Fusion converter, which worked perfectly for me (got the pix to prove it).
So I put it up on Ebay UK. IT sold for 155 GBP.
However, the buyer claims that it does not work for him. He claims there are terrible scan lines for him. Initially he claimed that the sound was off too, but that worked out once he fiddled around with some contacts. I did a little research and have no idea what could cause the scanlines.

Anyway, cut the story short... the dude is pissed and wants to return it. Understand my predicament... It worked for me absolutely fine... and this is just a major pain in the ass, seeing I am in Turkey now and do not even have a system to test it on. In other words I have no need for the converter and would like to cut my losses.

Is the anybody in the UK or EU who would like this thing? I trust most of ya here and would be happy for the buyer to send it to one of you to test. After that we see how to proceed, if you want to keep it or whatever. Right now I am just annoyed with the situation and think that it is maybe Karma... i.e. I should have just offered it to one of you here in the community in the first place!

Another option would be proving the buyer that the issue is not the converter but something else (of course, that is assuming the issue is not the converte). I do not think a converter by itself can produce scanlines, that sounds more like something in the buyer's setup. Did he send you any pics to know what he's talking about?

Regards.

If it helps I have a couple of homecart systems I can test this out on. Where in the UK was the buyer?

Thanks aha2940. I agree with you.
Lord7289, thanks also. I have pm'd you.

Overall this is just a shitty situation.
The buyer's tone and his sense of entitlement are really irking me. He does not want to provide pictures/proof that the converter does not work. Researching him on youtube shows that he does all sorts of conversions and mods (including converting a 161-in-1 MVS to AES cart). This all makes me think that he won the auction in order to have a first hand look at the converter, and now decided he does not want it for that money and thus wants a refund.

Refunding wouldn't have been an issue if he had been nice about it (i.e. not a demanding, self-entitled prick), and had been willing to provide some proof.

After all I have to pay a 10% Ebay fee and have a headache trying to solve this. And if this is just because he wanted to look at the unit and then return it, then F that.
If it is genuinely not working, provide me with some proof. My auction stated 'no returns' and I kind of stand by that because the converter was working perfectly when it left my place.

Sorry to be a pain with this and maybe also for posting in the wrong forum. But feedback/advice is welcome with regards to this.

Thanks.

If Lord7289 can't help I would also be happy to try it out for you, Krautcroissant.

Surely on an item of this value he'd be happy to send it away to be checked before expecting a refund?
