MVS 2 Slot; Getting crackling sound on some sound effects

I have a MVS 2 slot that I think I have narrowed the problem down to the slot, but I just want to make sure I am not jumping the gun.

Across two different cars the sound only has issues in slot 1, not slot two.

I also tested out the headphone jack vs. the speakers and the problem persisted in slot one only.

I am guessing a broken pin (micro fracture?) somewhere on the slot, they all look intact to me but I can't see all the way down.

Has anyone come across this before? I can do this repair no problem if I order a new slot, I just want to make sure I am not barking up the wrong tree.

Thank you, I will have another look and see what I see, it looks clean but I have not actually cleaned it other than canned air.
