the jrok / neobitz encoders look pretty nice, but i dont have the money or neither i do want to wait for the mailman

so , i wonder...

can i scrap the parts from another machines i do have lying arround?

i do have sega machine with an cxa1145p
also have some broken aes 3-5 for parts, but i rather .. rape the sega instead


cant i just de-solder the encoder from an actual console and put it on a tiny board instead?
