I dropped by the local Mall "Mind Boggle" Arcade today. They removed the last two Neo Geo uprights from the place. There were way too many gun games there.

That's a travesty.

Make sure to speak to the management. Arcade operators frequently move games around. It is possible that you could purchase one of them cheaply.

Although it does make me wonder. With more and more mvs cabinets being taken from the arcades what installed base does that leave for upcoming mvs releases?

Samurai Shodown II, Windjammers, Street Slam, King of Fighers 94 (I think).

They did not offer any of the newest releases. I've never seen Metal Slug there.

I believe that Mind Boggle is a chain. No telling what happened to the unit. I did notice that none of the machines have a distributor name plate on them anymore. I guess Mind Boggle is buying the systems for their operations now.

I know, infrance there is no longer MVS in the local arcade. The only solution is to go to the arcade sellers to see if they have not mvs in stock.

Maybe you can refer them to that "slightly used" $1,500 MVS system you posted earlier.

I think gun games are overdone indeed.

If I owned a game room, I'd have just Crisis Zone, TCII, Silent Scope 3, and Operation Tiger for gun games. Hmmm... I may start a "If I owned an arcade" topic in the Unrelated forum.

It's extremely unjust that they ditched the Neo-Geo cabinet- even moreso than not having the newest releases.
