Red One hilariously took some of what Violent Night brought forth and did it better, Red One literally set up a lot of interesting stuff that will never get wrapped up.
Just watched it. It's fine, defintely not a musical. Probably one of the strangest movies I have ever seen. 100% worth watchingJoker: Follie a Deux- This is what all the fuss was about? The only real problem with the movie is that it doesn’t need to exist, the first one was perfectly self contained. That’s it.
The character arc makes total sense, the fantasy/musical parts were integrated well and the performances were excellent. It’s a perfectly good movie.
What the hell were people expecting? Some sort of epic redemption for the character where he somehow “wins”? I expect the kind of reaction it got from the hardcore incel fans who completely missed the point of the first one. How anyone who is even remotely objective and not completely brain dead could hate this as much as everyone said they did is beyond me.
Is everybody just retarded now? I can understand people not enjoying the musical numbers and it not living up to the hype but the backlash and outright dismissal that this got is ridiculous.
It’s worth watching.
Was the point to blatantly rip off two infinitely better Scorsese movies?who completely missed the point of the first one.
I have a feeling a majority of its hardcore fans have never watched anything made before 1999.Was the point to blatantly rip off two infinitely better Scorsese movies?
The Nice Guys > The Other Guys > The Hard WayThe Hard Way - 1991 buddy cop film from director John Badham (Stakeout / Saturday Night Fever), starring James Woods and Michael J. Fox.
Fox plays a Hollywood A-Lister known for doing family friendly action films who wants to pivot his career toward something with a harder edge. After hearing about up-coming project that Mel Gibson is fancied for, Fox decides he wants to go method actor and spend time with Woods veteran get the scum-bags at all costs NYPD cop.
What follows is an entertaining, but by-the-numbers, fish-out of water tale, with Fox way out of his comfort zone on the mean streets of early 90s New York, while Woods tries anything and everything to get rid of Fox so that he can bag a serial killer who's on the loose.
The two leads have a really good chemistry, and there's a great supporting cast - I just wish there was a bit more screen time for Stephen Lang's lunatic bad guy. Overall it's well worth watching if you've not seen it before and like the genre, but the, relatively, contemporary Running Scared, and the much later, The Other Guys, do the buddy cop action comedy just that little bit better. In fact, Stakeout, Badham's earlier foray into this type of movie, is stronger.
that is the gayest sequence of movie titles ever writtenThe Nice Guys > The Other Guys > The Hard Way
I agree with this assessment. Very gay documentary but it had some good stuff in it.Memory: The Origin Of Alien- A feature length documentary about the themes and influences behind Alien. This mainly focuses on the inspirations and collaboration of Dan O’bannon, Giger and Ridley Scott as opposed to the actual production of the film. It’s more than a little self indulgent and dips into pseudo intellectual masturbation at times. Despite that there is some really nice behind the scenes stuff and a lot of concept art. They also managed to get some good interviews, for the most part. Oh and don’t be thrown off by the first few minutes which have very little to do with the movie and comes off as lame and unnecessary. Aside from that it’s an easy recommendation.
It's kind of like this generation's Midnight Run. Not the story so much, but... eh, you'll see.I have not seen The Nice Guys yet.... and I legitimately don't know why. One to find over the Christmas break I reckon.
I don't want to overhype it. Midnight Run is definitely better.Midnight Run is a great movie, so hopefully this is streaming on Netflix or Prime or something.
Will this be the first slasher movie where all the victims are grandparent-aged?Courteney Cox has officially signed on for Scream 7. Not surprising, of course, but there ya go. So far the only returning cast members are Neve Campbell as Sidney, Cox as Gale, and Mason Gooding as Chad Meeks. It is assumed that Patrick Dempsey as Mark Kincaid and Jasmin Savoy Brown as Mindy Meeks will also be back, but nothing has been announced yet.
The Carpenter sisters from the last two movies are gone. Jenna Ortega's star power simply grew too big for the franchise and Melissa Barrera was fired for calling Israel's genocide a genocide.
Same writers as the last two, but for the first time Kevin Williamson (series creator and writer of 1, 2, and 4 and producer on the others) will direct.
Well they brought back the 20-something Meeks Twins from 5 and 6. They also might bring back Hayden Panittiere from 4 and 6. She's only 35, so not granny status like Cox (60) and Campbell (51).Will this be the first slasher movie where all the victims are grandparent-aged?
I'm pretty sure the grand total is zero. Wes Craven didn't want to include any in Elm Street, either. No idea what his problem is.There is barely a tit to be seen in any of these Scream movies.

The writer doesn't decide. They don't write stage direction for the most part, just dialogue. There are plenty of scenes where nudity could have occurred. It's the director's choice as long as it doesn't affect the rating the studio is aiming for.Kevin Williamson wrote most of the movies and he's gay
Well, as you pointed out half the female characters are old ladies. A large chunk are also underage, especially in 1, 4, and 5.The writer doesn't decide.
