After 5 years, my PC finally took a turn for the worse (fan on graphics card died, stuff got hot, no longer works with 3D applications). Being the computer genius that I am, I bought a new graphics card that doesn't work with my motherboard... so I need something new.
I use the PC for a couple old games (I don't play new PC games), and am interested in putting an QAM HD tuner card in it so that I can watch TV on my projector...
The graphics card I picked up is a GeForce 8600 GT (PCI express), so I need a motherboard/processor/memory to go with it. I'd like to stay under $150, but would go as high as $200 if the upgrade is really worthwhile.
Any help is appreciated!
