This has to be at the top spot.

It gets even worse here:

Nevermind. I just realised the whole point was to jump out of the building.

Sick.

The fact that a game like this can happen is a testament to American brand of freedom.

I do not disagree or agree with it, but I enjoy seeing some one being riksy, as untasteful as it is.

We'll see what happens.

Um. Well they kind of did in the form of Cartoons. If they made a videogame RIGHT after Pearl Harbor based on the war, it would have come off as propaganda promoting the soldiers, not as disrespectfull crap like this.
The big difference is we didnt really join an existing war this time around.

Whoever made this game forgot to add the Prolouge where the CIA and even the Pres knew about the fiasco about to go down, but let it happen just as the Pres back then knew that Pearl Harbor was going to happen (yes it's a proven fact now) just so there'd be an excuse for the IRAQ thing now. But you don't see THAT in the game do you? Of course not! While it is indeed a bit "sick" what can you do?

"9-11 Survivor is a game project that examines the role of media in our culture, and the influence that continuous, hyper exposure has on our overall perception of the distinctions between reality and media mediation. This project raises questions regarding how and why popular media forms, such as games and movies, deal with tragedy, conflict and violence."

I like how they try to make it respectable. I don't care if they do think it's social commentary or whatever, it's still totally fucking disrespectful.

I'm guessing none of the people involved with the game actually lost anyone in the 9/11 attacks.

I'll admit, it's a tad early to start poking fun at this tragedy, but come on. It had to happen sometime. I beleive for everyone who was around during the event, any time this game came out would be too soon. Just like my grandparents still find WW2 games disrespectful.

Wow, that's fucked up. (First impression)

Now, as offensive as it is, it is protected free speech. Our responsibility is to see that these people never get a nickel for it by NOT BUYING IT.

Of course, if you were an Iraqi and saw a family member killed because of errant coalition bombing, you'd probably feel the same way about all those Operation Desert Storm games.

The difference here is that people in a combat zone at least KNOW there's a chance they are going to buy it that day. Not like the 3,000 or so poor souls who bought it Sept. 11th simply by going to work and leading a peaceful existence.

The game is offensive but that isn't the biggest deal there are plenty of sick people on the internet. I'd be more worried about this game getting any kind of press and being used to attack video games as a whole. It will surely be the source of many future acts of teen violence.
