Looked for Guardian Heroes this AM, & found this.

Trial is 'aight- display options are robust, & my Kombos work.

Anyone get the full rev yet? If so, how is the online?

Early reports are not favorable. I have seen youtube videos that looks like they are running about half speed online. No mention in the comments or video description of distance between the players or type of internet speeds used however. Also a bunch of talk about dropped inputs due to the massive slow down. If you are looking specifically for online play hold off and wait for a patch if there is one coming. The single player in demo seemed a touch slow to me, but I haven't played MK2 or UMK3 since about '99 so its possible I just don't fully recall the speed of the game.

Online play is ass on PS3 as well. Every fight I've had has been with full green bars connection for the players and it still runs like a slide show. There's abundant sound glitches in MK1 and MK2 as well. MK1 control input seems lagged offline. Some people are saying the same thing about MK2 offline, but I can't notice it. UMK3 seems to play fine offline.

Online play on PSN is ass. MK1 is the only game that has a decent connection. UMK3 offline runs at the same speed, if not faster than MKT. No kombat codes allowed during online play either. As faras online goes for MKII, the standalone PSN MKII is better than the MKAK version.

It's pretty shitty. Wish I didn't spend the money on it since all I really wanted was MK2. I was playing online with my friend and the connection we had was terrible. I spent MANY hours as a kid playing MK2 and 3 on the SNES version of X-Band and both of them ran ten times better then the MKAK. They say their working on a patch, but after that one announcement I haven't heard anything.

The game emulation is weird. If you want to look up your character's moves, you can't be between rounds. After you check your moves and go back into the game you don't get control of your character for a few seconds. I was trying to do the look up a fatality then do it, but my character would just stand there and the time to do it runs out. I'd be nice if you could change the options in the game to allow for more time to do a fatality. It seems less then five seconds in UMK3, if you're not where they want you to be you can forget about doing it. I also hated you can't use kombat kodes and in order to unlock the other three characters in UMK3, you have to have a second player, but for some stupid reason if you play an online game, all three of them are there to use.
