Fighting as Dinosaur like creatures was what made the first one so cool. After playing a giant farting ape, who wants to play as humanoid gods? Seems pretty obvious why it never saw the light of day to me.

I would still love a chance to try it out though.

When you "donate" a board they destroy it to get to some of the files. They hounded 68K for months trying to get his B. Rap Boys. All they would do is destroy the board, you never get it back.

Wow...totally accurate, I just checked out their homepage. I never even heard of them until this week...now I know where to donate all my arcade stuff to when I'm dead, looks like these guy will put it to great use!

This is probably cause they need to decap chips to figure out how they work to achieve emulation.

imo it's worth ruining a board to get proper emulation/rom backup.

Years ago I had x2 CP3 3rd Strike kits go bad on me. Thankfully now we have darksoft method and emulation, but back then I was shit outta luck. I would have willingly donated one of those kits for emulation purposes.

Indeed, I hope the guy on the Atari forums releases one of his 6 boards, I'd like to see somebody crack the PM2 code, especially since he said he has the final code for the game too.

But philosophically, what good is a rare game/proto if it's just in some random closet? I'd rather destroy the only known copy of a game to make sure it was emulated properly and saved for future generations, pretty much no matter what the game was worth.
