And another three-years long BUMP! :-)
This is for all the interested people here - btw I hope everyone is OK in these awfully tragic times, with the virus pandemia and all. I know situations are particularly hard in Spain and in the US now, we Italians have faced quite a severe virus outbreak already and we're hopefully now approaching the end of our darkest tunnel curve. Keep (emotionally) tight, everyone, and stay good as safe wherever you are!
Now, to our fun NEO·GEO trivial, in my seemingly never-ending data search, I eventually managed to get readable pics of both 1995 SNK catalogues originally posted and quoted by fellow BigBruno.
As you can see, this was a catalogue for the new soft line-up @ AOU'95, meaning 1995/2. Aside of the usual big titles illustrated within, finally a list of "NEO·GEO release-planned titles" was printed on the bottom of one page:
Ok, this is the very list originally referred in the thread. After just 17 years, please let me update you with all the confirmed details.
Left column:
-----------------------------------------------------------------
title / megs / genre / developer
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Fuu'un Mokushiroku / 190M / fighting action / SNK
Goal! Goal! Goal! / 100M/ sport / Visco
Kakutou Volley (temp) / unknown / sport / Video System
Shinryuu Senki / 200M / fighiting action / Aztec21
Sonic Wings 3 / unknown / shooting / Video System
King of Athlete (temp) / unknown / action / Face
Pulstar / 232M / shooting / Aicom
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Right column:
-----------------------------------------------------------------
title / megs / genre / developer
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Stake Winners (temp) / unknown / action / Saurus
Metal Slug / 190M / shooting / Nazca
Farm Guy (temp) / unknown / shooting / Saurus
QP / unknown / puzzle / Success
Shikago / 156M / fighting action / Visco
ChouShinKen (temp) / unknown / action / Saurus
World Tour Golf (temp) / 186M / sport / Nazca
All Star Volley (temp) / unknown / sport / Mahou
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Details:
Kakutou Volley (lit:fighting volley) may be a never to be relesead nor seen sequel to Power Spikes II, emphasising on the violent futuristic setting.
Shinryuu Senki is of course the Japanese title for "The Warlocks of the Fate".
King of Athete was later to be know as ULTIMATE 4, yet never to be released.
Farm Guy was a working title for Choutetsu Brikin'ger, also know as "KuroganeNaruMono" (lit: The Iron-Bearing Guy" - supposedly a Japanese equivalent of "Ironclad"). If you know the game backstory, you get the working title.
QP, acronym of "Quality People" was a very long developed and refined quiz and puzzle game, yet never to be release.
Shikago is actually "Tenin no Sho · ShiKaGo", the well-known first version for Breakers, featuring many (interesting) differencies from the final game.
ChouShinKen was the working title for Shin'OuKen.
World Tour Golf was the working title for Big Tournament Golf.
All Star Volley was obviously a volleyball game, yet never to be seen.

As reported in the thread, the same title list was also featured on another 1995 official catalog, only a NEO·GEO CD this time around:
The relevant list:
Here the same games (plus some others) are listed according to the foreseen release schedule, but no meg count, but a new column for prices shows up (this is supposedly a NGCD release list after all):
March releases:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Goal! Goal! Goal! / sport / Visco / TBA
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
May releases:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Crossed Swords 2 / action / ADK
Kakutou Volley (temp) / sport/ Video System / TBA
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
June releases:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shinryuu Senki / fighiting action / Aztec21 / TBA
Sonic Wings 3 / unknown / shooting / Video System / TBA
King of Athlete (temp) / action / Face / TBA
Pulstar / shooting / Aicom / TBA
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
August releases:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stake Winners (temp) / unknown / action / Saurus
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
October releases:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Metal Slug / shooting / Nazca / TBA
Farm Guy (temp) / shooting / Saurus / TBA
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now under development titles:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
QP / unknown / puzzle / Success / TBA
Shikago / 156M / fighting action / Visco / TBA
ChouShinKen (temp) / unknown / fighting action / Saurus / TBA
World Tour Golf (temp) / 186M / sport / Nazca / TBA
All Star Volley (temp) / unknown / sport / Mahou / TBA
Neo-Action Game (temp) / action / Hudson / TBA
Versus-type fighting game (temp) / fighting action / Hudson / TBA
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The last two entries are of course for the upcoming Neo Bomberman and Tengai Makyou Shinden games.
The following big box announces the development of the NEO·GEO CD original "Samurai Spirits rpg" game.
That goes as for the two catalogues referred in the thread.
Please know roughly the same titles (but Brikin'ger appearing with its final title) were also listed in this 1995/6 SNK AD, eith just title and genres though, not even developers:
Left column:
---------------------------------------------------------
title / genre
---------------------------------------------------------
King of Athlete (temp) / action
Kakutou Volley (temp) / sport
Metal Slug (temp) / shooting
Farm Guy (temp) / shooting
QP / unknown / puzzle / Success
Shinryuu Senki / 200M / fighting action / Aztec21
---------------------------------------------------------
Right column:
----------------------------------------------------------
title / genre
----------------------------------------------------------
ChouShinKen (temp) / fighting action
All Star Volley (temp) / sport
Neo-Action Game (temp) / action
Versus-type fighting game (temp) / fighting action
Variety shougi (temp) / shougi
Last Odissey (temp) / pinball
-----------------------------------------------------------
As you can see, this list is slightly updated here, most likely just because it's a little later. Not only Brikin'ger has been updated to its final title, but a "variety shougi" game appears. Since there's not even the developer company name, guessing is always a bit risky, yet since it's still in early 1995 and given the "variety" title tag, the most educated guess may be not for the well known "Shougi no Tatsujin" [MASTER OF SYOUJI], but for "Kijou - Nanairo Toiki", a shougi game by I'Max with anime-style gals and all, officially preview nowhere else but at the very AOU Expo 95, yet later cancelled - or possibly acquired by ADK and used as the foundation for their Shougi no Tatsujin" [MASTER OF SYOUJI] itself, for the shougi table graphic really looks identical, despite the surrounding more realistic-theme visual.
Please also know the same titles were more or less constantly reported on the NEO·GEO FREAK lists for game development updates during 1995/96, up to the point of either their release or canning.
Hope this closes a thread which was left someway unfinished!
