I'm selling a modified Sega Genesis (US) version 1, and a Modified Sega CD (US) Version 2 bundle package. The unit was modified by renowned modder, D-lite from these boards. The units can run in JP/US/and EURO modes. It is modified for Composite and S-Video, as well as composite RCA audio.

I don't have any photos at the moment because the item is in San Francisco, I'm in Arizona Right now. The item will ship next week. My feedback reputation from here and ebay are great: http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=curtwrx

The system will come with games.

Sonic CD - US(Boxed) excellent Condition
Sonic CD - JP (Each has a different soundtrack)
Willy Beamish (Boxed)
Sewer Shark
Mortal Kombat CD
and a couple other Sega CD games, and Genesis barecarts I have sitting around, I can't remember the exact titles but there are a few more.

Taking reasonable offers. NO LOWBALLING.

PM me with inquiries and we'll work something out.

Might I suggest a price drop?
A modded Genny is nice, but $250 for that and a Sega CD and a little pile of games seems mighty steep.

I believe that the CD unit is also modded to play all regions, hence the price...

When you consider that the Sega/MegaCD doesn't have copy protection, and that when you make a copy you can convert the region to whatever region you want - it sorta negates the 'coolness' of a region modded CD.

The CD is modified as well.

I believe D-lite also did a mod on it to switch from 50-60 Khz, so you can view it on NTSC or PAL Tv's I believe.

I paid $200 for it, when he had it on the forums awhile back, and I spent a bunch on those games. I feel $250 shipped is fair. But if someone really wanted it I can be flexible.

Can you mod the SegaCD player? I didn't think it was possible.
I thought at best you could swap the BIOS out for another country's.
I'm not starting shit, I'd honestly just like to know.

All I know is there are switches on each of the units. I believe the switch on the Sega CD is for the 50/60 Khz option for Pal mode (never used it). So it's indeed modded. I never said it was chipped or anything. And you can change the bootups on the SegaCD so it thinks its a MegaCD, and it has 3 different boot up songs, so maybe the BIOS is switched as well.

Ask D-lite, I really don't know too much about it.

Arakon, a German member, programmed the Sega CD's equivalent of the Unibios or 4X bios for Neo Geo, and thanks to it you can select between the different regions bioses. This is what D-lite installed in this unit.

I also think 250$ for that bundle is too expensive, you can't always recoup the inversion you made. Sonic CD is the only game worth something on it. 150-200$ looks fairer to me.

I think its fair when you consider all the games.

I'm throwing in about 10 games, some of them in NM condition.

Sonic CD I paid like $30 for, as it's in great condition. And still goes for decent prices on ebay.

But I am open to offers. No way I'll go as low as $150 though, I firmly believe this bundle is worth condsiderably more than that.

That being said I'm still open to reasonable offers.

I updated the price, to "Taking offers"

But I'm not looking to get lowballed here. This is a nice bundle.

Also I forgot to mention this auction includes BOTH Sonic CD USA, and Sonic CD for MegaCD Japan. So you can enjoy both of the games individual soundtracks.

Sweet, that's what I was wondering about.
My friend and I had one cracked open when the Japanese and US units first came out in 1992, and we long theorized about maybe making some kind of freakish double-chip seat to house both the JP and US BIOS. It's cool to see other folks make progress on shit like that.

By the way Curt, I really wasn't trying to rain on your thread.
