Okay kids, for those of you who haven't seen the SoCal legend, here is some classic Cal Worthington and his famous "Pussy Cow!":

Classic full commercial:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=OIZKXfpZE6g

A collection of some of his best antics, this is worth watching the whole way through
http://youtube.com/watch?v=QOsLdT4slsk&mode=related&search=

And yes, his character was the basis for Ted Danson's character in "Made in America"

Ahahahahaha, I thought this sounded familliar. I had a friend back in the day that would sing this tune, complete with incorrect "pussy cow" lyrics. I don't know how he saw the commercial though, he lives in the Fresno area just like me. :conf:

We saw them in Bakersfield, but we would get LA commercials.

I think they really plastered SoCal with them. He's still alive and living in NorCal, I remember reading an article that explained he rarely went to Huntington Beach anymore, and instead they would use old "His Dog Spot" segments with him using a greenscreen for new footage.

Ah, the wonders of technology. They'll probably still be using footage of this guy until he's a plie of bones.

"Pussy cow!" :lolz:

Speaking of misheard lyrics: my dad has hearing damage from working construction for over 30 years, so a lot of times he mishears lyrics the first time he hears a song. He is also quick to sing what he hears the songs like, and some of the changes can be quite hilarious. I'll have to ask him about some of the song changes, I can't think of any offhand.

Well, there is the ever-popular AC/DC Highway to Hell lyrics.

It is supposed to be:
"Living easy
Living free
Season ticket on a one way ride"

But I defy anyone to hear ticket in what he says. I don't even hear a "T" sound.

Pussy Cow is a damn good find. I think I heard 2 times in that entire montage that it sounded like Go See Cal.

His epitaph is probably already written for him.

"Here rests Cal Worthington...

PUSSY COW!"

You better make them suck that dick

It'd be great if it said "Cal finally went to see the Pussy Cow." :tickled:

Pussy cow.. Wow.. I could tell right away that was from LA. Midwesterners aren't capable of such spectacle like that, even today.

My sister mistook the way Mick Jagger sang the title in "Start Me Up" as "Stompio" or some other gibberish like that. It's our little inside joke. :loco:

Stompio, Stompio and I'll never stop...
