Hi all,

I collected about 10 years ago, but myself and family went through some rough times and so I sold everything including my AES+MVS and collection to help out.

But now, I've been in a stable job for 2 years, built up a reputation in my industry, and now have become a contractor. Meaning its finally time to get the Collection back together!

I'm not making the same mistakes from last time, No PAL shit, only NTSC (Except for Master System). And Buy the System + flashcart first, then decide on what you want to collect.

At the moment, I have a Neo SD Pro in the mail, as well as 2 M-ODE's and a MegaSD, but my initial Neo Geo AES Console + Game purchase will have to wait until mid may.

Until then, my MV1B+KOF97 in my Astro City will have to do! Renting for the next year and a bit then looking to get a nice apartment!

Current Setup - 12 April 2021 - Basic AF.

My fav memory was washing the shell at a DIY Carwash! Got some odd looks that day haha

I'm a clean freak so this is like porn to me.
Thanks Lachie, yeah, I knew the dirt and grime would get to me after a while. The cleaning was much more important to me that repainting etc. It's earned its knocks and scratches, gives it character! Gotta get around to putting the coloured gels behind the marquee and sticking it back down like the original.

Yeah look I like seeing new powder coat and all but you lose the history by doing so. That is unless it's completely stuffed then you may as well.

Once you get that acrylic redone it will look schmick as. Also I just realised you're a fellow cobba!

p.s. we're not on a 'Lachie' footing, people here will think we swordfight or something.

A very optimistic list there in the current market. I hope you have the money behind you to realise your plans, man. A rough estimate puts the list at about 31,000 AUD.

I think you have a solid setup as it is. Sometimes keeping things simple is better.

Thanks Digmac, So I had them in a specific order before. Basically just KOF, then FF, then AOF, and the rest. I'm a massive KOF Fan, and have been since I first played KOF97 at the arcade, I was a Street Fighter guy before that. (Alpha 2 and KOF 97 are my favs of all time)

I got the NeoSD Pro, so I can take my time looking for the rest. Mostly, I want to collect KOF stuff, the games, soundtracks etc.

On May 1st, I start my new job finally (Working towards it my whole life), and after bills, lets just say I'll be able to afford things better!

Lol, swordfight.
Step 1) play Joust in arcade
Step 2) play ‘Joust’ in arcade parking lot behind the bin.

@MP- nice recoup, man. Welcome.

I remember my 1 cab in the apartment days...had a Windy II in the empty linen cupboard-had to sit in the hallway, and reach in to play it.

Got my Console setup in better shape, still not to happy with the little tv shelf I picked up, looked much bigger in the ad. Might just bite the bullet and make myself on out of 2x4 and vinyl wrap. But its a lot cleaner than it was!

Got the SD2SNES in my NTSC Snes, got the NeoSD Pro in my JP Neo Geo AES, The Satiator in my JP Saturn and just waiting on buying a flashcart for my US Genesis. Have a MODE waiting to go into my Dreamcast (Not Pictured).

All hooked up via a RetroTINK SCART2Comp :D Waiting on Extended shafts for my LS32's (you can see the left on looks a little low) then the other stick will get the same treatment! So I can use both, on Saturn, DC and Neo Geo, with LS32's and OBSFs!

I have the exact same kind midnightphreak just ordered. I quite like mine. Easy to move and to work on, sturdy enough for heated battles at home, though im not sure it could stand up to the insane amount of abuse it would get in an actual arcade. Ive never attempted to tate the monitor, so i cant comment on the ease of it. I was told by tony majors it requires an extra bracket kit that you have to buy separately. He has like 15 of these cabs that he takes to conventions for people to play and had nothing bad to say about them really.
