Hey I just recieved a Metal Slug X fro Aslan11 off of ebay. Every once in a while, when I play the game for more than 10 or so minutes, the screen turns a light green and the colors fade... my monitor doesn't do this to any other game. Is my Metal Slug X a bootleg?

Only way to tell is to open it up. Look for EPROMs with "Magic Windows" or wires... those are dead give aways that a game is fake,

But is there a eprom dump of this game? It is one of the ecrypted games. So has someone broken the encryption and started bootlegging them? If so that would suck as since the only bootlegged Encrypted game I know of is MOTW......sheesh is nothing sacred or safe from any form of corruption? Damn....

MSX is not encryted as far as I know. Aslan has sold these games to me so far, and all of them were bootleg:
Puzzle Bobble
Captain Tomaday
Metal Slug
How can he stay in business? Aslan can go FU(K himself because he rip me off.

MOTW is a prototype and prototypes dont have encryption. The same goes for the kof99 prototype. As stated in the previous post MSX is not encrypted.

Yeah, I have seen the roms for MSX around Only safe games seem to be:

Strikers 1945
Ganryu
Prehistoric Isle 2
Metal Slug 3
King Of Fighters 2000
Nightmare in the Dark
Sengoku 3

Anything else can and probably has been bootleged

Most common bootlegs

1) Mark of the Wolves
2) Metal Slug
3) Puzzle Bobble (Does an original exist)

You can always tell by just looking at the connectors. If they are green, they are more then likely original. Also, most of the older games have some gaps on the metal connector.

To be certain, just open up your cart and look for the SNK logo on the board

Metal Slug X is not an encrypted game, so a bootleg could be made very easily. open up your cart, and then you'll know for sure.

Speaking of Aslan11...

I paid for a couple of MVS carts on May-21 via PayPal. I have sent mail to Aslan11 asking if he(?) has shipped yet I get no response. I have dealt with this person on one other occation and did receive items within a reasonable amount of time. What's the point of paying for Priority Mail and via PayPal if the dude does not ship promptly?
