Metal Slug Anthology will indeed be on the PS2 as well as the psp and wii...as a matter of fact there all scheduled for release on the 15 of november

I was at a trade show in Sept. and while playing Metal Slug on the wii ( hell yeah!!!) the NGUSA sales rep told me it was coming out on the three systems and they would all include 6.:multi_co:

Better late then never i guess when it comes to 1,2, and 3 in the US.

Update

The collections have been delayed till the 22nd apparently.. So much for metal slug on wii launch day :very_ang:

Toys R Us still has it listed as a launch title, same for IGN. Either way, we'll find out next weekend.

The only thing I want to know before buying is whether it supports Stereo sound. MS3 on Xbox thankfully did (and the Start Level Over problem can be fixed if you have a hacked system) but the MS4&5 ports (ps2 also) were in Mono

Wii - 11/22
psp - 11/22
PS2 - 12/2

and supposedly

Metal Slug GBA

12/2 but i thought that was cancelled?

Will MSA ever come out?

I came here looking for answers. I read somewhere that MSA (PS2) is coming out 12/15.

The last time I checked it was 12/19. SNKUSA takes forever to get stuff out...

What a bunch of idiots SNKP are. The SNKP guy was playing the fucking game for Gamespot.com and said "oh yeah it will definitely be out for the wii launch." Fucking morons. Then they move it to 12/5, and now to 12/14. They can't get anything done, ever. And by missing the wii launch they are completely screwing themselves over. I guarantee that they won't sell half as many copies of this game that they could have if it was released at launch. An awesome game for $40 bucks on a brand new system with only 2-3 other half-decent games? It could have been the #2 or 3 seller. This company can't live forever on porting 10-year-old Metal slug and king of fighters games to other systems, especially when they make business-killing decisions like this.

I understand there will also be a Wii version. There are a couple of vids on the new free-hand style controller functionality that will be new to this game.

Looks fun. I will probably check that one out.

Put down my pre-order for the PS2 today. Yea, SNK sucks at releasing games, what else is new? I had the same prblem with MS3 on Xbox, but you just get over and thank your lucky stars that you get all these fine games on one disc.

P.S. Although I'm still keeping my import version of 6.
