yo M' you need a hobby! man where do you find time to do this stuff.

Btw, do you mind if I use your background blackout technique?
I had been experimenting with ways to fill negative space without crowding the cubicle. I always ask before I mimic an idea.

Where do I find the time? I'm unemployed. If I had a job, I can guarantee you I'd be far less productive. :)

I'm sure "my" background blackout technique isn't something I invented; use it to your heart's content.

My last actual job was working midnights at a minimart, then I quit that job to train to be a CNA at a nursing home, but that didn't work out for me either (um...two whole days to be exact), so I quit that and became the semi-professional bum you know and love(?) today.

As far as art supplies go, I've got tons of them laying around, so I seldom have to buy anything (I have boxes full of pencils, colored pencils, markers, many cans of paint, piles of drawing paper, and just about everything else I need to keep me going for years to come). Believe it or not, it costs me next to nothing, other than time, to churn out all my stuff.

Man, so how do you get money for food, etc.? My idea, if you don't do this already, is to sell your art and to be quite blunt, I wouldn't mind buying some of it.

How do I get food? Well, I can't go into all the details, but it's a highly sophisticated process that involves the McDonald's dumpster around the corner, the cover of darkness, and a crowbar.

As far as selling artwork goes, the main problem is that I can't legally sell artwork depicting copyrighted material (i.e. video game art for example), which is what people want to buy from me 95% of the time.

Man, You are "bad ass". You don't have to sell your stuff, just give it away and accept "donations" to buy more sophisticated supplies and what not <Yeah, that's it>
set up a PayPal account and accept donations because you have mad talent! Now you're flipping me out with the paper figures:buttrock:
Thank your former employee and instructor for driving you to quit because that sh8t was for the birds.
Keep up the good work.

I sometimes give away my artwork to interested parties (namely friends/family) to make room (sculptures/figures in particular tend to take up a lot of space over time and I only have so much storage space). As far as donations go, while I appreciate your sharing the idea, I don't think I'm going to set up a PayPal account or anything like that - I do get "donations" in a sense, friends and family members often give or buy/give me art supplies for my birthday/Christmas/just because.
